Wasn't sure what board to put this under. If someone comes up with a better idea, feel free to move it!
Anyway. D is a super-happy, smiley, giggly baby 99% of the time. Even when he's sick, usually he's still very free with the smiles and rarely fusses. Until bathtime/bedtime. Then it's a full-on meltdown. He is happy happy happy in the tub, but as soon as Hubs wraps him in his towel and brings him into his room to get ready for bed, he starts wailing. We offer the paci, we sing, we tickle, we shush....nothing works. He is just pissed.off. I thought maybe it was that he was tired, so we moved bedtime up 1/2 hour, and still - happy in the tub, screaming all through getting dressed. Right up until Hubs hands him over to me to nurse.
FWIW, our routine looks like this at night - he and I get home around 6. He plays in the crib for 5-10 minutes while I empty out the wetbag from daycare and put away the milk I pumped at work. Then he gets dinner. After dinner, he plays with one of us while the other washes the bottles from daycare. Between 7-7:15, Hubs takes him upstairs for bath. And like he said, he's happy and playing and splashing in the tub. Bathtime is usually 10-15 minutes, then Hubs brings him into his room, where I have the white noise and humidifier going, all ready for bed. And that's when the meltdown hits. He's 10 months old, and this has come and gone since birth, but lately it's REALLY bad - he just screams and seems so angry!
Anyone ever deal with this? Tips? Thoughts? The ONLY explanation I can come up with is that he's hungry, so maybe I need to nurse him before bathtime, then just put him down to bed immediately afterwards? I am at a loss and also at my wits' end.
