So we're moving our son into his own room in the next few nights, and I want to take the opportunity to start a firm bedtime routine with him. It can't include a bath for a variety of reasons, mainly inconvenience and that it riles him up.
Can you tell me what your routines were like for a 12 week old? I exclusively breastfeed but my husband can give a bottle if I'm out - my so doesn't like it but he'll take it.

Baths have always been a big part of our routine but now she's at nursery (and not napping) we sometimes have to skip it and get straight to the bed bit!! Without a bath, our routine looks like this (it has been the same since 10 weeks)
Bottle
Nappy change
Lotion
PJs
Put in cot
Zip up sleep sack
Each of us leans over and kisses her and says good night
Pop her dummy (paci) in
Projector on
I say "I love you" before closing the door.I want to introduce a story but it just winds her up because she wants to chew the book (10 months old)
