I love true story type books. What is a good book that you just could not put down? It can be fiction or nonfiction.

I highly recommend The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson. All of Erik Larson's books are non-fiction and are well written!

I enjoyed:
The Book Thief
The Storyteller
The Fault in our Stars
Wonder
Just started Hopeless on my Kindle and it's good so far. I'm looking for more ideas after this though!

I read a bunch of books this last year and I loved:
Song of Achilles
The Descendants (I loved the book, but wasn't a fan of the movie)
Before I Go to Sleep
Defending Jacob
Where'd You Go Bernadette
Every Day
Everyone keeps recommending The Book Thief and The Fault in Our Stars, and those are definitely next on my list!

My favorite book of all time is "Loving Frank" - it's based on Frank Lloyd Wright's life loosely, although it stretches the truth a little :).
This year I have enjoyed:
The Interestings
The Last Original Wife (couldn't put down)
The Submission (absolutely FASCINATING - it's a novel, but is about 9/11 and the creation of the memorial)
Saturday Night Widows (true story)
The Book Thief is definitely next on my list!

The Book Thief is my latest go-to recommendation. It's excellent. I also always recommend anything by Tana French. I don't normally like mysteries, but I get addicted to her books!

The Astronaut's Wives Club was good. I'm currently reading Hungry Monkey by Matthew Amster-Burton, which is a SAHD's account of his culinary adventures with his daughter (4 yo when he wrote the book) and it's pretty engaging so far.
