@lisamarieloves: yay! another person to join the chat! No, I don't have the Barbie, just googled and that is so cute! I didn't know that it existed. I am sorry you are out for the month. I am also out this month, AF just arrived tonight, boooo. Oh, well, here is to next month for us!

@littlebit YAY for the OPK!!! I tested this morning and it was darker than it ever has been (this is CD 17). Hoping to get a true positive tonight or tomorrow!!!

Is anyone taking their BBT vaginally? I have been getting some really low temps (and overall it is lower than the other charts I've seen) but I am definitely a mouth breather and I just read that can mess it all up. But I am not sure I really want to switch the way I take my temp!!!

    @NorCalWayfarer: of course

I also wanted to say that for those of you not already on the POAS thread for July, you should come join us, even if you won't test until August! Someone will start an August thread in a few weeks, but we like to try to keep up the energy on the current thread until the very end if the month for late month POAS-ers. I'm keeping track of the dates this month, and I've started a list of August dates attached to our July list. So, come join us!

I know it can be intimidating with the pace of the thread and how much information is there, but I promise, everyone is really nice! The ladies are also great with answering questions. Don't worry that the thread has been active for so long, just jump in and say hi

    Hope to see you there!

@babybean404: I'm a mouth breather, too, and my temps are consistently low. But it doesn't matter, because my post O temps are consistently higher. If you're worried, you can, but otherwise, don't worry too much!

@ellewoods84: Thank you! I am so excited! Got another one this morning. Hoping its still positive when we BD later.

@babybean404: Thanks! I hope you get one soon also! It's so exciting! To know that my body is doing what it's supposed to be doing is a relief for sure. I do my temps (just started) orally, so no help there.

@LovelyPlum: Is it for OPKing POAS also? Or just pregnancy tests? I will definitely be over there in 10 days or so

@NorCalWayfarer: Welcome!! How are you liking yoga? I'd like to start, but I'm not sure if it'll be enough for me? I've been running and taking a pretty intense class lately, but I know I'll have to switch to something a little less impact once I'm pregnant.

@jhd: Thank you! I got another positive this morning!

Is it just me, or is talking about having sex or BDing in public still really weird?! I wonder if that'll get easier in time? Haha!

Oh, another question..I have positive OPK's, but no EWCM...what does that mean? Does that mean I'm not really ovulating? Going to try asking the POAS peeps too!

@Littlebit: you join at the beginning of the month, or anytime! Or whenever. There are people in all stages of their cycle. We hang out together, not just during the actual TWW come now!

@littlebit yes, i do find it a little strange to talk about BD but so glad to have Hellobee ladies b/c i would find it really hard to talk to anyone about it in real life!

  11. Littlebit

    nectarine / 2932 posts

@jhd: Glad I'm not the only one! It's bizarre to me! Guess I'll have to get over it. I'm also kind of a prude in person, I get super uncomfortable talking about it...even to close girlfriends!

@Littlebit: haha, yeah I definitely don't talk about BD/sex with anyone in real life other than DH. DH is a cop and his coworkers talk about sex allll the time, the ladies and the guys, and it makes me so uncomfortable when we go out to dinner with them!

I really only have one close girlfriend, and she's never had a real relationship, so I'm hoping if/when she ever gets married, we will be able to talk about some of this stuff. But if not, the internet works too

All of you ladies must be East coasters! You are on here so much earlier than me!

@babybean404: I've been dying for someone to talk about taking BBTs. I bought a cheapy thermometer at CVS last night and I have no idea how to use it or where to put it!

@LovelyPlum: your mind for remembering everyone is like a machine! You are always so amazing and welcoming. You've got a gift, friend!

@littlebit I read that if you don't see EWCM it doesn't necessarily mean anything...you could try other methods of checking (eek!) though.

@lisamarieloves mine came with a little chart that showed two "hot spots" about halfway down the length of my tongue, to either side. I try not to move too much and just hold it there (with my mouth closed) for the minute it takes to read...then go on fertility friend and obsessively try to figure out if my temperature is a sign pointing to ovulation!!!

@lovelyplum thanks for the reassurance!!! how low are your lows? my average has been around 96.7 but has dipped to to the 93-94 range about 4 times in less than three weeks!

How is everyone's weekend going?? Anyone else in the TWW? I think I'm 3dpo today. Quick question, do y'all normally hold off to test until you miss your period, or do you start testing early? Like 10dpo? If so, what day do you normally begin? I'd like to hold off, but I'm not sure if I'll have the self-control to!

@NorCalWayfarer: oh no, I am so sorry. I think we were in a couple of the POAS threads together and joined around the same time. Best of luck to you this time around...major baby dust your way.

    -------
    Hi everyone! Here's my info....

    Age: 29

Month: 2nd month without goalie in the net, first month officially charting

Months off BC (if applicable): NA

What are you doing to prepare: We bought the wondfo cheapie strips off Amazon and back up Clear Blue digital OPKs. Also just started temping 3 days ago. Started taking prenatals about a month ago but I've been really bad about being consistent!

My cycles for 2-3 years have always been 28-30 days but I recently started to diet and exercise much more intensely due to a vacation coming up. That threw my last two cycles into +40 days, which has never happened before. The timing couldn't be worse but maybe it's God's way of telling us that we need to wait a bit longer (for whatever reason, maybe work? I work long hours and job is unfortunately very demanding). This however prompted me to chart more closely with the OPKs and BBT, otherwise I think we would have winged it but my cycles are long nowadays. My doc did say it would regulate again closer to 30 days after my body adjusts to the increased activity.

Anyways lovely meeting you all! Best of luck to everyone, hope we all get BFPs very soon.

@Littlebit: I think I'll wait until AF is late because the first month I tested early and got a BFN, and even though we weren't expecting to be preggos, it sucked seeing the clear negative!

Hello everyone! Sorry I'm late, I saw this post earlier, but I was in a wedding yesterday so I've been busy travelling and whatnot.
    Age: 26
    Month: Getting ready to try
Months off BC (if applicable): N/A

We are ready to start trying but haven't pulled the trigger yet! We can't decide if we want to wait until next summer, as we are now thinking we will buy a house Jan 2015, or go ahead and start this winter and potentially move with a newborn! I've been taking prenatals for about 3 months consistently, and exercise regularly. I'd like to lose a good 15lbs before we start trying. We just cannot decide when to start! I almost wish it would just accidentally happen!

    @SupernovaJ: Wohoo! Welcome!

@dc yoga bee: Welcome! I was in the same place (trying to decide when to actually start trying) last month. I went to my gyno for my annual pap and she gave me a packet called 'preparing for pregnancy' - that was all it took to send us into high gear!

@dc yoga bee: I've been with my husband for 10 years and we have always been thinking about when's the perfect time to start TTC. I don't think there is any perfect time. I look back now at all the times I thought were a horrible time to starting TTC, and I think, "gees... we should have started then."

@Littlebit: If I was confident enough to use the little inexpensive strips, I would probably POAS every day of my life. But I use clear blue digitals, My plan is to all myself one 5-pack box per month. This last month - my first TTC cycle - I used three before I was out. ETA: I POAS at 8DPO. I will wait longer this month.

I'm officially in the TWW. Posting here because we don't have an August POAS board yet.

    - Saturday evening CD16 - negative opk but ended up BD just because
    - Sunday evening CD17 (technically Monday 1AM) - positive opk confirmed by wondfo and CBE digital smiley, just went to bed though because it was late!
    - Monday morning CD18 - still a positive opk but no time for bd because of work
    - Monday evening CD18 - negative opk but was able to BD

Will probably aim for one more BD either tomorrow or day after. I'll also temp to see if it's any higher (I've been pretty flat and consistent so far). I'm wondering though, can you ovulate with no EWCM? I didn't really have any...

Time during the TWW will go by so slow.... Now I'm trying to either decide on a POAS date or wait until AF is late.

@SupernovaJ: I'm wondering the same thing in regards to EWCM. I got positive OPK's but no EWCM. Maybe someone else will chime in and help us out?

So, I know this is WAY too soon but I got this shirt for my dog. I plan on putting it on her whenever I get my BFP to tell my DH. I ordered it now, so I'd have it whenever I got it, but part of me feels like it's a bad omen to buy something like this without actually being pregnant. Have any of y'all done something like this?

@littlebit that is too cute! I don't think it's a bad idea because I did something similar! I was in books-a-million in June and they had Father's Day books out. It was our first month ttc & I thought I would get it & hide it at home til we get our BFP. Its all about a dad and all the little things he knows how to do & how each thing he does for the child is a way of showing his love. I got teary just reading it in the store and thinking about giving it to DH!!!

@littlebit @supernovaj I haven't started using opks yet so I can't speak to that but I haven't noticed a ton of CM. Is it possible that some people may have more CM than others?
