We have beige walls in the spareroom.. and I'm choosing a decal for the new baby's room.
Question is... which colour would look better on the wall... a BLACK decal, or a WHITE decal?
(I'm also adding in a picture of G's wall - same colour!)

We have beigey walls, and LOs room has a white decal that shows pretty well. I'll see if I can find pic later.

I agree that the white might be hard to see but I feel like the black is too harsh.

I would probably do black. I think the white would be too hard to see.

@ladybee: Yeah, that's the hard part - it's one or the other with this particular print.
White I'm worried will blend too much, but black is a bit full on.. I'd ideally love a grey or silver, actually.
@Anagram: Thanks, I would love to see that!

This is a crappy cell phone pic and it's washed out because there's a window just to the left of the decal, but here is white on beige. For our room, the rest of the room is white, light blue, and taupe, so black wouldn't have worked.

@Anagram: The light is lovely!
The only thing is that the cot will be a brown timber, so the black might not be TOO bad if it's close to there. but I still like the look of the white.
Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, I just can't make up my mind!

I think it would depend on the colour of the furniture. Will it be dark or white? If the furniture is going to be mostly white, then I think the black decal would stand out way too much and the white would look better. If you will be going with dark furniture, then I think the black decal might look better.

It will be darker timber, yep! So black might not be as harsh as I'm picturing?
(Again, this was when it was in G's room.)

@jaguar: ahhh...our crib is white. So maybe black is best in your case. Here's some of the rest of the room, so you see how it ties in, If I'd had a dark brown crib, I might've gone with black.

Here's our beige wall with light and dark decals. I like them both.

@jaguar: me too! It was in the wall when we moved in so we left it. For reference, this pic makes the wall look significantly darker than it is.

I think black because the beige is really light. If the beige were darker, I love the white.

@pregnantbee: Yeah, I love the white too. A shame I can't convince hubby to paint, hehe. We'll be lucky just to clear out the room before she's here at this point! x Thanks hun.

@jaguar: Haha! You've done way more than I had done at your # weeks! Still not quite done at 35w now

@pregnantbee: I am mostly paranoid of going early again, so trying to get as much stuff sorted now before I run out of steam!
Can't believe you're 35w!
Georgia's room was very pink.. I'm trying to get the next little girl's colours to be more neutral, grey's & yellows, etc.

@jaguar: Totally understandable. I'm in denial that I'm at 35....and also feels like the last weeks are taking forever bc so uncomfortable already.
We did tan, white, coral, mint, dark grey.

@pregnantbee: The darker tan looks gorgeous with the white. Love it!!
