DD’s scooter is falling apart and it’s a super random brand they don’t make anymore. I don’t think she’s ready for a 2 wheel scooter but I can’t tell if most of the popular 3 wheel ones would be ok for a tall 7 year old.

My also tall 7yo has the micro maxi where you can adjust the handle height and she likes it. They’re a bit $ but they do go on sale and hold up really well.

Micro Maxi Deluxe.
They are 100% worth the money--I didn't believe until we tried them ourselves. I have three of them for our three kids. The Maxis last until they are 12 years old.
Sometimes, you can buy them from the Micro Kickboard (the maker itself) in the "warehouse deals" section.

I stalk local groups and FB Market Place for 2nd hand Micros all the time; I believe they're extremely worth the money as well.

@HappyBaker: my kids got the micro scooters too but at 7 I would go with the two wheel. My oldest left hers outside a lot and rode it all the time so eventually it did crack on us, and we replaced it with a two wheel. I only see younger kids with them though (the micro scooters.)

Thanks all!
@2littlepumpkins: I wish we had a friend or neighbor with a 2 wheel to try out, all the kids around here even much older are still using 3 wheel!

@HappyBaker: My not especially coordinated son got a 2 wheeled scooter at almost 5.5 (he is now 6), and he has no problem riding it. He never rode a 3 wheeled scooter. He finds it significantly easier than riding a bike without training wheels.
