I would just stick to the target ones (I think gillian o'malley makes them?) for tanks and pre baby bras. They're sized in S, M, L...I was a S pre baby and got some Ss and some Ms...the Ms were good the first few weeks but after that, the Ss were way better.
I would wait on nursing bras til your milk supply regulates, TBH...until then, nursing tanks will be way more comfy and easier!

I'm larger chested and the Target tanks are not supportive enough for me. I like the Bravado tanks that you buy online (not the ones from Target, they're different somehow).

@hilsy85: I am not surprised, I keep hearing that about Target ones! Wondering if I shouldn't just get one bar though, I heard many hospitals want that to be the only bra you wear for delivery. I have a very large bust and I'm not comfortable laboring without a bra. I guess one can't hurt!

@kjpugs: I didn't think I'd be able to labor without a bra, but man, I was HOT and DIRTY so I was glad to just have the hospital gown. Or, actually 5 of them. I changed a lot, haha. Pre-baby I was a DD and now I'm more like an F. Nothing from Target fits me. Glamourmom full bust tanks are awesome, as are Bravado.

@kjpugs: yeah target sells cheap sleep bras, I would pick up one of those, especially if it's for delivery--you'll probably get blood/birth gunk on it when your LO is put up on your chest.
And those bravado tanks (the expensive ones) are great! Super supportive. Although they don't do much for actually making your boobs look good.

I mostly have the Target ones, but I admit they aren't super supportive. They are fine for me but I'm more average busted- c pre baby full D now, probably? That said I couldn't really get anything sized (like band and cup size) until this week probably (6 weeks). So I'd get a couple of target ones and then get more supportive ones later. I was between a medium and a large pre baby and got the large since I didn't want anything tight.
I have a couple of target nursing bras that were s m l too- one sleep one that pulls down (sold in a two pack, just ok), and one that clasps in the back and I really like. It comes in a couple of colors, cotton, with a lacy trim. I'd size slightly up. It's very comfortable and somewhat supportive.

Oh and gap sells bravado tanks and they are included in their sales! I just got one that is normally $49 for $25. They come by size.

@Foodnerd81: OH that's great to know, I have a GAP card too are they in-store in stores that sell maternity?

@kjpugs: I bought mine online- I never looked for them in the store. I'm pretty sure it's online only though. I just ordered a bunch of sizes and returned all but one (free shipping and returns).

I got a bunch on sale from Motherhood Maternity from the mall.
I also thought I'd keep a bra or a tank on during labor, but when things started getting real, I ripped my clothes off so fast, lol!

@kjpugs: YES. Bravado. I have mine on right now. I have to sleep in a nursing tank or bra every night. I thought I would need a tank or bra on while laboring but by the time I got to the hospital, I wanted nothing to do with clothes.

The Bravado ones are expensive, but I use mine all the time. I bought one white and one black and I sleep in them every night. They were definitely worth the money. I only use the one I bought at Target when I haven't done laundry

I also did Target tanks. However, I ended up wearing them ALL OF THE TIME, instead of a nursing bra, so I may branch out and invest in higher quality ones the next time. FWIW, I bf until 13 months. In the summer I wore the tanks as tanks and in the winter I layered them under long sleeve tees and sweaters. I found them so much easier than nursing bras and they gave extra coverage when lifting up the shirt in public.

@kjpugs: gap is having a sale right now and I think you can use the extra savings on it, their website has the codes.
I bought my friend a couple of nursing bras from motherhood and she said they're great she is 40DD I got them off the clearance rack when they were having their sale.

I love the target nursing tanks by Gillian and O'Malley too. However, I wish I had bought a smaller size. Medium has been good for the first three weeks but I swim in them now. I also got a Bravado bra, and it's awesome. I'm going to buy another today. Surprisingly my fav purchase was this sleep bra, also Gillian O'Malley from target. It is so comfy and under 20$. I wish I could get more but I bought it in the states and haven't seen any at our Canadian target. They have a few different designs and I think they are all pretty cute!

@delight: yes that's the bra I really like! I just bought another one though I do usually wear the tanks for now since I'm at home. It's comfy and reasonably supportive (no jogging or anything!) and easy access for nursing. Plus cute.

@kjpugs: agree with others to wait on a sized bra until after. I hated my glamour mom tanks and lot the bravado ones. There's not much difference between the target bravado and the regular bravado IMO so save yourself the $25. The cheapie bras I bought from targets Gillian brand were a total waste I ended up pitching them after a month. Bravado bliss are amazing and good quality for a shaped sized bra. Their silk ones are great for the earlier days.
