I can't wait to hear what others have to say! I can't even remember what I read...

the light between oceans --- SO GOOD. It's set in the past (I think the turn of the century?).... this man (lighthouse keeper) and his wife live on an isolated island all alone... they try to have a baby but she has miscarriage after miscarriage. Then, a baby shows up on the shore with a man dead inside the boat. They struggle with the decision to either report it or keep the baby as their own and see it as a sign from God. It was riveting and heartbreaking as a mom-to-be myself.

@zippylef: @char54: @MamaMoose: I second all three of these! I LOVED all of those books! I also really loved Cinder, by Marissa Meyer, and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, by Ransom Riggs.

I tracked everything that I read in 2012 on goodreads. Good-bye Jimmy Choo was fun, Fire Dancer, Hypocrite in a Pouffy White Dress: Tales of Growing up Groovy and Clueless , Mosaic, and The Note were all really good books.
I read 278 books last year.

Umm... I'm so ashamed to admit that I haven't read a book (non-baby related) since LO was born So sad. I absolutely adore reading too, and nothing makes me happier than curling up with a good book & cup of hot tea.

@MamaMoose: UGH. I hated that book! Almost as much as I hated Eat Pray Love.
I liked Killing Lincoln. I haven't read much this year but that was a good one.

@Bao: Haha well, once I got pregnant I figured I should read as many as humanly possible because I know when baby comes it'll be no more reading time for me!! So I might have read a freakish amount haha!!

@mediagirl: my mom hated it too so you're not alone!

I've only reread Pride and Prejudice since my son was born 9.5 months ago. I love reading but just have no time. P&P was sitting on my nightstand for some reason, and I just decided to read it one night when my son went to bed early and my husband was gone. I keep hearing good things about Gone Girl, though, so I'd like to try and squeeze it in at some point.
