We're going on a bunch of long car rides in August (all in one weekend) and I need some suggestions for things to do for my 3 year old. We have Water Wow books and a Magnadoodle, plus regular books and her babies. What are other games/activities to take in the car for her?

I definitely rely on the kindle fire for car and plane rides. Apps, movies, shows etc.

stickers, sticky notes, books on tape, in addition to the things you've already mentioned keep my just over 2.5 year-old occupied. If she needs a distraction to transition to a new activity, I give her a small container of yogurt melts (her favourite treat), and then introduce something else to her. The treat distracts her from being bored so a new toy/book/whatever seems more acceptable to her

Stickers and movies are our saving grace. We have a Kindle fire and travel DVD player and use both depending on what she wants to watch. We have done 3 hour and 5 hour trips one way this summer and she has been a peach.

DVD player is our saving grace for road trips, she gets bored with everything else after 10 minutes but will watch a movie (or fall asleep during it) for 2 hours.

themed legos (although can be messy) but olive can play with them forever. also play doh. but can't beat the ipad.
