I'm heading to sephora to get new face make-up and I really need something that lasts all day.
What's the best foundation? I use Make-up Forever primer but by 2pm my make-up is gone!
(I have combination skin just to add)

I really like Estee Lauder Double Wear for full coverage. My friends make fun of me because they think Estee Lauder is "old lady's makeup". But it works really well!

I am a big fan of Bobbi Brown. I have used primers in the past and I feel like I don't even need to use a primer with the coverage I get, plus I like that it does last all day and it does not make my skin oily by the end of the day.

I really love (and have been wearing for years) Revlon colorstay liquid foundation. I also really like Chanel perfection lumiere liquid foundation; but of the two I prefer Revlon.

I've found any foundation can work well if you apply it along with the right stuff. When I want it to last a really long time I use primer and set it with powder, which I learned from WeddingBee - http://www.weddingbee.com/2011/12/29/helpful-series-ace-your-face-pt-1/#more-225510). Her method works amazingly for me, except I use clinique mosturizer (not cetaphil) and maybeline foundation (not MAC).

I really liked Smashbox Photofinish for a good coverage without feeling cakey! I used it for my wedding & was previously a Bare Minerals user so something that didn't suffocate my face was important! I used Monistat chaffing gel as a primer (it's the exact same ingredients as smashbox primer) and MUFE hd microfinish powder to keep my makeup set all day through tears & all!

I get one custom made for me at gene juarez!!
They can make it as sheer or as full coverage as you want it!

@yoursilverlining: @coacheswife123: I'm going to have to try that! I just bought a big expensive bottle of a new Clinique formulation and I HATE it, but its too late to take it back!

I use Bobbi Brown right now. I think it's been the best one for me so far. I apply it with a foundation brush. Also, DH says it's the best one, that it looks the most natural but still covers any nasties. lol I usually dust a tinted powder on top. (Not that I am an expert, by any means...!)

@HLK208: I'm not sure because last time I got it it was a gift, but I'm guessing 30-40 tops!
I love the one they made me! I have oily skin and wanted something a bit sheer but still matte and they gave me the perfect combo.

I love Hourglass Veil. It has SPF and no parabens or yucky chemicals and the coverage lasts great. It is pricy though ($60), so I don't use it everyday. Using a finishing powder can really help it stick around, especially when combined with primer. I did that for my wedding and it lasted FOREVER.

I have acne and combination skin. I love, love, love origins stay tuned foundation. It stays on all day with no grease or shine without even needing primer. It's really light feeling, but can be layered for great coverage. It looks so good my husband has even remarked how great my skin looks wearing it. I apply it with the shiseido perfect foundation brush, or if I'm in a hurry a Tarte airbrush finish brush.

@LuLu Mom: yeesssssss!!!
Love smashbox's photo finish. Make them give you a sample. My makeup artist used it on me for my wedding @ then she gave it to my afterwards and it was great. I have combo skin too. Dry cheeks and oily t-zone. Some days it's all dry...somedays by 5pm, it's all oily. Just depends...

@MSBartlett: went with Bobbi Brown at Nordstrom! Thanks!
@Rainbow Sprinkles: ugggh none of their make-up artists were in today. I probably should have made an appointment. I'll try it when I run out of my new stuff though. I never even thought to check there.
