I was not a fan of LO1's infant car seat and while we still have it, it's super girly and I don't want to use it again. I definitely want an infant seat because of the convenience of not having to wake baby to get in and out of the car.
I like the look of the britax and chicco key fit. Anybody have any suggestions? What do you use? Is it easy to buckle and tighten and get in and out of the car?

We have the uppababy Mesa and I really like it, but mostly bc we have a Cruz stroller that it fits into w/o any attachments, so it was really the stroller that I like more! On its own it's pretty heavy

I won't say it's the best but we had the britax b-safe and we were pretty happy with it and plan to use it again when/if we have another. Getting it in and out of the car was easy, plus we were able to use it on our stroller (city mini) with an adapter so that worked well. My only complaint is that LO heated up in there and she would sweat alot. I don't think the fabric is very breathable.

@catlady: we have a city mini as well. I'm not sure if we'll get a double stroller or not. I'm thinking not just because of the added expense and we don't use it that often. My lo1 was definitely always hot so that's something to think about

I love our keyfit although it's a little heavy. I got a good deal on it last year during Black Friday! I think I paid 130 on chiccos website.

loved the chicco.
also, the city mini single has a carseat adapter that I used and LOVED. will be using for LO2 when I am out with only one of them (or with DH, who can wrangle O!). it's a universal adapter for most seats, but britax has their own separate adapter for city mini single.

My friend gave me her Britax Be Safe; I haven't started using it yet (soon!), but she is even more petite than me and they live in the city so if they were happy with it, I think it'd def work out for me!

We had a hand me down graco and while it was fine, if I was buying a new one I'd go with a chicco key fit. Everyone seems to love them. In fact if this graco expires before we have another baby I'll just get a key fit.

We love the Keyfit. Easy to get baby in and out and easy to install. I also liked that the material was easy to wipe and durable.

I really liked my Graco SnugRide 35 (the click connect version). It's one of the lightest seats on the market and was easy for us to install.

I have a Graco Snugride 30 and love it, it's light and easy to adjust the straps (much easier than the Britax convertible we have right now, it's such a pain!)

I really love the Cybex Aton. It's amazingly easy to install in cars with just the buckle (no base needed, though it comes with a base as well). Plus it's extremely light. I was so sad when we had to switch to a convertible seat!

Ditto @Beehive:! We have the Cybex Aton2. Its very convenient to have the base in our car but can still use it in other cars without the base. Very convenient for cabs in the city and holiday travels when I'll be home with the carseat but in a rental car.
Also, FWIW, the infant safety course instructor we had sang the praises of the Cybex Aton 2, its highly rated on ConsumerReports.org, and the "Carseat Lady" in NYC also lists it as her top pick (http://thecarseatlady.com/csladdressescr/)
