We've tried Cetaphil, Cerave, and Vanicream. Vanicream is definitely the thickest and helps LOs eczema. It's available at Target.

For those who've tried both, what's the difference between vanicream and cetaphil?

Ava Anderson is the only thing I've found that works the best for my girls.

I personally prefer to cut back on the soap usage and hot baths before I try a dry skin lotion. Made all the difference for us.

@babybean404: It's a lot thicker. It's the thickest lotion out there I've found - it's really a cream though it comes in a pump not a jar which I like - but it still sinks in, unlike Aquaphor.
My daughter has eczema and during flare-ups, we use Vanicream liberally on damp skin and then when when that sinks in, we apply coconut oil over the top to kind of seal everything in.

We cut back on the baths and only use the Cetaphil gentle cleanser with the Cetaphil moisturizing cream after the bath. It works well for us.
