I had a preference for a birthday in the first six months of the year. July / August = no friends around for birthday parties in the summer. Sept / Oct = likely to be the oldest or youngest in the class. Nov / Dec = holiday season, which is another birthday downer.

ETA: I also get hot really easily when I'm not even pregnant, so I have a strong preference to NOT be in my second or especially third trimester in July or August! So, that is another reason for my first-six-months-of-the-year preference!
