I think DD (14 months) would probably love a play kitchen. Any recommendations of brands or things to look for? Thanks!

We have this one from Elves and Angels. http://elvesandangels.com/collections/medium-priced-kitchens/products/susans-kitchen-1
I love love love it. Totally worth the price. It's really nice quality, easy to put together and is neutral which was important to me because it is in the middle of our living room. My daughter loves it and plays with it every day.

We have had the IKEA play kitchen for over a year now and no complaints. We have it set up in the kitchen so LO can "cook" when I cook.

We have a Hape play kitchen and we love it! It would easily be the most played with toy in our house and apart from some sun fade it's still in really good condition!

We have the KidKraft Uptown Espresso Kitchen. We realy liked the height of the counter and overall kitchen because DD is tall and lots of play kitchens were shorter. DD seems to really love it!

@catgirl: @ValentineMommy: we have the uptown Natural one. Same layout, different color. DD loves it. It's a bit taller than some of the others, so I feel like she'll get more use out of it.

We have the Kidcraft red vintage kitchen. I love it because it's adorable, my son doesn't seem to care too much about it but I don't think that's the kitchen's fault. The only thing is that it comes in 100,000 pieces.

We have a kidkraft that we love (now that it's put together lol). She got it at 22 months and it's a great size that she will be able to grow into. My inlaws have a smaller step2 one at their house for her and she really likes that one as well, but I see her growing out of it more quickly. We have had it for almost a year and she has played with it every day since we got it.

We also have one from elves and angels and it's beautiful and really high quality. An heirloom for sure!

We have the Kidcraft vintage kitchen, and the kids have been playing with it almost daily for the past 4 years. Still going strong.

We also have the Kidkraft vintage one (white). I like it because it is small but still has a decent amount of storage and "stuff". LO received it for her first birthday, took to it right away, and still plays with it often at age 3.

We have the ikea one and my daughter loves it, plays with it everyday. It was affordable, it is neutral, easy to put together and the height is adjustable!

I have the PB Kids one, its pricey but great quality and a nice size that I know she will be able to use for many years to come.
I stalked the website for 6 mos to get the best deal...the outlets also have them...

We have a PBK one and love it, lo has used it just about everyday for 1.5 years now and it still looks brand new despite things being slammed around, haha. The only thing is that it took her awhile to be able to turn the knobs on it--that was frustrating for her when she was 1-1.5ish

KidKraft Uptown and at 3.5 she still plays with it all the time.

A little bit of a departure from the standard usage, but I got a plastic one (after previously thinking I would want a wooden one) and my son played with it a ton in the summer, outside.

I got a used plastic little tikes one and DD has loved it! It's a discontinued model and it's kinda big, but I love that there's so much storage.
Though now I'm trying to re-sell it b/c I need a smaller kitchen so I can also add a table/chair for my toddler... so I'd def try to think long term regarding to size.

Three cheers for Kidkraft. I lucked out and got one secondhand and its held up beautifully. DD has been playing with it for at least a year and a half now.

We really love our Hape play kitchen! It's in the corner of our living room but I'm thinking of moving it to the kitchen so she can cook while we do.

@avivoca: our Hape kitchen is right next to the kitchen at our place and my big girl totally cooks while I'm cooking!

We have a cheap plastic one which I don't like the look of but its not here forever. I realized I didn't want a wooden one when we visited friends houses and my son would close the doors and it was so loud. He also liked that it made so much noise

@Miss Flamingo: We have the ikea kitchen but we got it 2nd hand so it was already assembled - how do you adjust the height?
persimmon / 1286 posts
Ikea one that I "hacked" so it matches my kitchen. Putting it together took forever, so adding in the time for hacking it didn't really make a difference.

@chillybear the grey parts on the bottom of the legs adjust. I haven't done it yet so I can't speak to how easy/hard it is
