We need to move DD to a convertible seat within the next couple months and have narrowed it down to the NextFit. I know some people don't like it, but it fits in our Honda Civic and it has shoulder belt lock-offs (there's no LATCH in the center position on our car). Anyway, Amazon is having a 20% off sale on a bunch of baby gear (code WHATADEAL) and I'm wondering if I'm likely to find a better price if I can wait until Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I don't *think* she'll hit the height limit before then but there's a small chance she could and I'd have to buy sooner so I'm inclined not to put it off...but every penny counts! Any thoughts?

I got a hell of a deal on mine around Black Friday. We got our other one from Target. I just watched the Target sales, and stacked Cartwheel app and regular Target coupons, and got it down to $140 or so.

@Boheme: wow, that is an awesome price. Makes me want to hold out... I may order now just in case we need it before Thanksgiving, but not open it and send it back if something better comes up before we need it (yay for free shipping and free returns!).

@PurplePeony: I got 20% off at bbb and called it a deal. If I had waited and really watched sales but we didn't have a ton of time and I just wanted to be done.
But I wanted to say we got it for the exact same reasons as you. I don't love it but I feel like it was the best fit for our car. We have an older Acura with no latch so fitting front to back and the shoulder belt lock offs were the main things. I hate to say it but it's still a b*tch to install, but once it's in it's good. And c seems really comfortable in it. I don't think anything else would be easier or fit better. I know that's not the point of your post, sorry

We got ours at Target for approx $160. Chicco was 20% off plus a couple stacked coupons and the red card discount.

@PurplePeony: there is a facebook group called car seat deals that you can post what you're looking for and they'll tell you the best way to get the best deal! Just another option!
