What is the best TV series of all time, in your opinion.
I have to go with The Wire. Close second is Arrested Development, then Mad Men....and my recent obsession Breaking Bad.

Six Feet Under.
At the very least the best series finale EVER. -
Friends. I can watch every episode over and over.
I also really liked the show Alias that starred Jennifer Garner.

Oh goodness, I have seen so many from start to finish.
I loved The Tudors and I looooove Downton Abbey. But, on the other hand I also really love How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy, and One Tree Hill. Oh, and Lipstick Jungle...they shoudl have kept going with that one!

I'm going with Law & Order SVU because I like crime shows and it's been on the air for so long. I love too many shows! The Cosby Show and Who's the Boss were the best from that time frame.
@bpcmarj: Grey's and How I Met Your Mother are both awesome. Though I hated Izzy so I stopped watching for awhile.

@mrsjazz: I don't know how I missed SVU. Seriously, we watch repeats of it every weekend on Netflix. So good! I will say that it's not the same without Stabler though!

I would probably say Friends. I actually have a funny story about it...
Rob Sr. was tutoring this middle school aged boy and talking about overusing synonyms, and the boy said "there's this really old show that I've seen reruns of, where a guy named Joey wrote a letter then just used a thesaurus to replace every single word with a fancier one. It was called Friends.. have you ever seen that show?" Really made us feel SO old!!

Oh man. This is hard. I'm going to go with The X-Files, ER, The Shield, How I Met Your Mother, The Cosby Show, and Wonder Years.
Other more sentimental faves are Friends, Scrubs, Law and Order SVU, Futurama, and Saved by the Bell.

Also I'd vote for Spartacus as well - sooooo good! I have yet to see a bad episode of that!
BUT my vote for all-time best series would have to be Babylon 5. It's the only show I've ever seen that was so thoroughly planned out from start to finish and that really connected everything from season 1 to season 5. Things that happen in season 4 and 5 are foretold as early as season 1. It's amazing!

Friday Night Lights. I adore that show and can watch it over and over. I also love the earlier seasons of The Office but the later seasons don't hold up as well.

Friends hands down is my favorite show. If there is ever a marathon on I could sit and watch the whole thing. I also love Grey's Anatomy, especially the older episodes!

There are a lot of good shows on TV right now, but best show ever? Got to go with The Wire. So glad that HBO gave them the story arch they asked for, instead of cutting them off midstory like another series that’s a contender for best show ever: Deadwood.

No Lost fans! That and 24 are probably my favorite recent shows. Growing up it was definitely Growing Pains and MacGyver.

Easily The Wire. The others in no order are Lost, Friday Night Lights, Mad Men, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, The Shield, The Sopranos and Game of Thrones.

I think The Wire is by far the "best" show, but it doesn't quite hold the same special place in my heart as "Friday Night Lights" does.

I never get sick of Friends, and I really like Greys Anatomy...the older ones are my favorite, but I enjoy them all.

Friends, definitely. I will always laugh at that show - it never gets old! A close second is Dexter. And My So-Called Life will always have a special place in my heart.
