my daughter uses a small plastic stool to stand on while we brush her teeth, but she definitely can't reach the sink. I would like one that she can reach the sink to wash her hands (with help) and I guess possibly to get onto the big toilet if she prefers an on-the-toilet potty seat over the small one.
any tips? I don't want to spend a fortune, as much as I like the look of the Kidkraft one. any cheap plastic ones that have decent height?

IKEA has stools that are pretty affordable. We use the tall one for the sink and small one for the toilet.

@autumnlove: we have both of these and love them. They are lightweight too so it is easy for lo to pick up and move around herself.

we have 4 Molger step stools.
Love them.
I've also put them at my kids' craft table when we had some friends over for a playdate and they worked well as little chairs too.

We have the first one that @autumnlove: linked and she crawls up on it, while holding onto the pedestal sink no problem.
She has another one but it isn't tall enough for the sink.

@sorrycharlie: I have both of the step stools that @autumnlove: has and it's been great for my LOs. I like the anti-slip raised dots on them.
