It's been a week and a half since I had my last HCG at 116. My doctor said that she was confident that my levels were dropping, and she wasn't going to order another test. So based on the rate at which my HCG levels were dropping I should be down to 0 by now. I started charting again this week and my temps are still very low. I thought I might have been ovulating earlier in the week because my temps seamed to be going up, and I was getting a lot of CM. But now they are dropping again. I'm just getting so frustrated. Shouldn't I have O'ed by now? I'm afraid I'm having an anovulatory cycle. I just realized that I do have OPK's I could start using, but the thought of using them right now is causing me some anxiety, and I'm not sure how much I would trust them being so close to my MC.

@DesertDreams88: I "know" all the "answers" - trials make us stronger, they help us empathize with other people, we don't understand the purposes of sorrowful times until much later, these earthly struggles are small in comparison with eternity, etc. But still, my heart has a hard time trusting all of those truths."

I feel exactly the same way. I've been praying the rosary during my commute again to help ease some anxiety, and there's part of the Memorare that says "Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided." I've been struggling with that!

Like, we don't always see the answers to our prayers immediately or in ways that we expect...but it's so hard to deal with in the midst of it when you're waiting!!

@auggiefrog: I'm so sorry you're stuck in limbo. I will say that the lower my numbers got, the longer they took to decrease. This is actually why I started using OPKs (to know what the hell was going on!). But pretty much the day I got to 0 I Oed.

@jaguar: F*ck Infertility. I'm just getting mad at this point...you ARE good people and it shouldn't be this hard...

@travellingbee: hoping this is the start of everything. F*ck miscarriages too...BLAH!

I'm having a bitter day today (as if you couldn't all tell). It really just isn't fair that we all have to deal with this.

@2PeasinaPod: Right back at you! x

I'm done now... done being hopeful. We're not going to fit in a cycle now, it's too late. It's 6 days past Provera and nothing has happened. I quite honestly don't know what else to do but sit around and wait now.

Ugh. So... that's it. We won't be doing a FET until March.

  7. jaguar

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

Do you guys know if you can still ovulate after taking Provera? Ugh. FS says now that it can take up to 14 days off Provera to get a period (that never used to be the case with me) so I still have at least another week to wait and see what happens.

  8. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@jaguar: I don't know anything about Provera. I'm sorry you have to wait until March and I so wish you didn't have to. Maybe we will be cycle buddies in March

  9. travellingbee

    hostess / papaya / 10219 posts

@jaguar: I'm sorry. That sucks. we're going to wait until march now too. I need a bit of time to recover and we have a trip coming up at the beginning of march and we're going to wait until after that. We think we'll try clomid for the heck of it but don't expect much. RE said nothing will lessen our chances of miscarriage except IVF with genetic testing and we just aren't ready to shell out that money yet.

This miscarriage has been harder physically than the last. I'm on day 3 of bad, bad cramps. Yesterday and today passing lots of clots.

@travellingbee: thinking of you, hope the pain starts to ease soon

maybe I'll be in the march club too, not sure yet. timing wise would be good as a december baby means hubby is home for 4 weeks to help. don't want to think about it too much though for fear of overanalysing.

@AuggieFrog: HCG doesn't always drop at a steady rate, unfortunately. You could take a pregnancy test to see but I know that might be hard emotionally. I think the HCG needs to get below 5 in order to ovulate??

Also, from what I remember reading, temps, CM, and OPKs can all be a bit wonky between a loss and the start of a "standard" AF. I didn't use OPKs or temp until the very end, but my CM was REALLY off. When I asked on this board, it seemed like most people took 4-6 weeks to get their period back. How long has it been for you? Hopefully it's just delayed O and not anovulatory

@TravellingBee: I'm sorry to hear about the pain Will you still be going in for an ultrasound / appointment on Tuesday you think?

@HappyBluebird: That will make me happy at least!

@travellingbee: I'm sad it's started, but glad it's started. Thinking of you, chick. xx

Doc recommended another 5 day course of Provera.. I am all drugged out, man.

Change of plans. So now to REALLY confuse things, I'm CD50 & had EWCM yesteday. OPKs in morning had a line, but not positive & a blank smily face.

OPK last night had a darker line AND the smily face started flashing. WTF? I know it's not positive until the face is a peak, non flashing smily, but what the hell? CD50?

My clinic finally let me come in & do a blood test to see what's happening. If that's the case, that's why the Provera never worked... and also means I won't get a period in time to do a cycle before our trip away.

    @jaguar: wtf?!

I think my miscarriage is pretty much done. Just some light bleeding now. No more cramping. RE wants to wait until Friday to check levels and do the ultrasound to confirm it's complete. I feel so relieved...

@jaguar: so strange! I hope it gets sorted out quickly and you are able to squeeze in a cycle before your trip!

@travellingbee: that's so great that it was able to pass naturally and you were able to avoid the medication! I hope you are physically feeling better too.

Bad luck with the Jags, yet again.

Today I begged my clinic to take some bloods because I'm so confused with what's happening and I've been uncomfortable for the past few weeks. The levels were nuts, and so they rang me and got me in urgently for an ultrasound today. They found a cyst almost the same size as my left ovary... so all cycles cancelled, and I have to go on birth control pills for the next 4-6 weeks to shrink it all. No transfer until at LEAST March now.

I feel like we're cursed, seriously. All these good things happening to everyone else, and for us it's just been one thing after the other. I am so angry and upset and devastated and tired of it always being negative. Haven't we gone through enough?

@jaguar: Oh jags, I'm so so sorry. I'm praying for you that it shrinks super fast and you can move on. This is ridiculous. Hugs hugs hugs You have been through too much already.

Have my second monthly blood draw today.... Woke up on the wrong side of the bed, Ran late because of traffic, lab running behind, now I'm sitting in the waiting room with 7 pregnant ladies. Ugh, the last couple times I was ok with them but today combined with my crappy mood just makes me sad.

    @HappyBluebird: for your blood draw.

and ugh. I always seem to get stuck in the waiting room with the moms who've just had their sonograms who are ooing and ahhing over photos. It's the worst. I hope your wait ends quickly!!

  33. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@MaryM: Usually I get them back Friday afternoon or Monday morning

Once I'm off work and home I think I'll get out of my funk. I'm almost done a crochet project that I'm making for myself and it always makes me feel good when I finish something

  34. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

    @HappyBluebird: ugh. that's a long time!

What are you making? I'd love to see! I made my mom and sisters blankets for christmas and they all loved them (my mom told me she takes hers to bed with her!)

I haven't made myself anything yet though. I always end up giving stuff away.

I just started a pattern I hadn't tried before last weekend. http://daisycottagedesigns.net/crochet/crochet-star-baby-blanket-work-in-progress/ (but I'm doing two shades of blue instead of blue and turquoise)

  35. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@MaryM: I love that blanket, I think I might actually have it pinned on Pinterest!

    I'm making this..... http://www.thefriendlyredfox.com/2014/09/free-crochet-katniss-cowl-pattern.html

It's actually a lot bulkier than I imagined in my head but I think it will be good for the winter when I need something to cover my head. Mostly I just like to try new things and I came across the pattern and I thought it would be cute. If I don't like the way it fits me, I'll probably gift it someone else. Once I get it done I'll take a picture of the one I make. I think I'm going to make mine a little less tall, we'll see!

I made my mom a blanket for Christmas this year too! I was really happy with how it turned out, especially since I don't have a very good track record with blankets. I liked it so much I bought some yarn to make one for myself with a Michael's gift card I got for Xmas. I haven't started it yet though because I keep changing my mind if I want to do the same pattern or a different one.

ETA: please ignore the random giftbag in the corner and the dog bed in the back (the expensive one my dog never uses!)

That cowl looks so comfy! I should make one. My office is SO COLD (I've been wearing fingerless gloves because my hands get cold from typing).

That blanket for your mom is SO pretty! Do you have a link to the pattern? I made my mom a simple granny square blanket, but I did a spiral pattern so that it looks like there was a color change in each round, but there never was one. And I gave my SIL a blanket of octagons I made last winter completely out of remnants and stash yarn. I'll message you photos

@MaryM: This is the blanket pattern http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/square-upon-square-throw

I changed it a little to make it bigger, I think I added two rows down to make the center 8 squares instead of 4. I liked this because it was join as you go so I didn't have a ton of squares sitting around

  39. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@HappyBluebird: The octogon one I sent you was the first one I did join as you go. Made such a difference! (though I did have circles sitting around until I did the last row on them)

But I nearly pulled my hair out joining a baby blanket and swore I'd never do something pieced like that again. It made all the difference

  40. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@MaryM: Yes it does! I made a small baby blanket for the wife of one of DH's friends and it was blocks that I crocheted together at the end and I hated it!
