I'm daydreaming about taking a big anniversary vacation. But I'm not sure when or where to go. We were thinking about celebrating our 5 year anniversary in Kauai, but that's next year! Maybe a big vacation for our 10 year anniversary would be more reasonable.

I want to go to the Maldives, because we didn't do it for our honeymoon like most people from the UK do. Hopefully we'll get there for our 10yr anniversary if they're still there by then in 2022!

At our 1 year anniversary we went to St. Lucia. My husband doesn't like to travel, but I really would love to have an Australian adventure at the 5 year mark next year.

5 yrs we had a 2 yr old and was preg with #2 so no trip!
10 yrs is next year and we are def doing something but not sure yet - either Ireland or Greece would be my choices!

W're planning a big trip for our 5th, but haven't decided where to go. It's a year from now. But, we'll have a 4 month old, so we may have to make it a 6th anniversary trip :). DH wants to go to Hawaii. I don't even care. I'm just looking forward to finally not spending our anniversary at my ILs house.

*sigh* daydreaming. We had talked about taking a big trip back to Cinque Terre, Italy (we were there as part of our HM) for our 5th anniversary and taking the kids. But that's next year. 
That's just not going to happen. But I so want to do it before 10th! That's SIX years away!
Maybe a long weekend for our 5th? Oooh I have been dying to see Montreal. But I've always envisioned visiting Montreal in the winter and our anni is in the summer.

Yes! DH has promised we can go to Europe for our 5th anniversary, which will be in 2016. England is definitely on the list, and if I can convince DH to go to France, then Paris as well!

Tahiti, hopefully for our 10th. We wanted to go to either Tahiti or Hawaii for our honeymoon but we were only going for a week and most of that would have ended up being travel so we went to Disney with plans for a big 10th.

We might visit my mom during Christmas, technically this year, but it would be counted as next year's vacation. It would be too much to visit Kauai, too. Maybe I can find a deal for Mexico since it's so close. Or put off visiting her and go back to our honeymoon spot! Woohoo ... now I'm really dreaming!

We spent our first and second anniversaries in London and our fifth in France, but they weren't really "anniversary" trips - our wedding was in the summer and that seems to be when we always go on vacation.

We had talked about doing Europe (undecided where, perhaps Germany + Paris) for our 5 year anniversary but with a LO coming this year I don't think that is realistic budget-wise anymore! Maybe for 10 years we'll do a big european tour haha.

For our 10 year anniversary we are going back to the resort that we went to for our honeymoon. We met 4 other couple on there honeymoon there too, and we are doing a 10 year reunion together!

On our honeymoon we said we would go back to Bali on our 10 year anniversary. Not sure it will happen (still 7 years away) but it would be nice! Next big one is 5, in two years. C will be 2 and change so old enough to stay with grandma for a few days so maybe we will go away then. We will prob be ttc #2 around that point too- yikes!

It would probably be more reasonable for us to plan something for 10 years...I'd love to go to Greece or the South of France. Somewhere along the Mediterranean!

@illumina: Love love loved it. I've never been anywhere else like it or in that region at all, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was amazing. Too bad the flights were almost 24 hours each way (with multiple layovers included). Hopefully by the time we go back we can afford to upgrade to business class!

For our fifth this year, we went to the Amalfi coast for a week, then to London, Paris and Amsterdam for three days each (flew from Rome to London, then took the train to Paris and Amsterdam.)
It was kind of more of a last hurrah than an anniversary trip though, since we plan to start TTC this upcoming year.

@locavore_mama: Montreal is a much better visit in the summer - take it from someone who used to live there! It's positively frigid in winter and much less to see. Summer is festival season and there's always lots going on.

I think we might be meeting up with some of our Australian friends at Disney in 2015. So...it'll be close to our 5th anniversary, if that counts.

@illumina: I live in the States and it's expensive to get there and to stay there also. But I don't mind saving up for it and going when there's sufficient funds. Definitely not a destination I pick to go for a weekend or just because vaca. Ouch! haha

Our 5 year is this year and since we are taking E with us, I think we are going to the Grand Palladium Resort & Spa in Riviera Maya. It's affordable, a short flight, and we'll enjoy ourselves.
I told DH I really want to go somewhere nice for our 10 year, though, but we'll see. Kids are expensive and I don't mind waiting until our 15th to go big! I want to go somewhere exotic! But not tooo far of a flight. I think DH is traumatized after back and forth flights to the middle east. So I'd love to do tahiti, bermuda, costa rica, germany, the greek isles....ahhh. You know, when we have 8K to spend on vacations *hahahahaha*......

I think we'll take a smaller trip (somewhere in the US for our 5th anniversary, depending on if we have another baby and our finances. But for 10, we're definitely going to go a bigger trip. The problem is there are just SO many places that would be amazing to visit, that I can't even narrow it down to a small list.
