So on my WORK computer I was looking at a pair of shoes - then I go on my iPhone (personal) and go on FB - those shoes popped up as something of interest for me - this happens all the time - WTF??
How is this possible?
Does this happen to anyone else?

That is so freaky! Sometimes when I search for something on my phone DH will see it on his phone too and this is after he arrives home.

Were you logged into Facebook or Google on your work computer, because that could do it!

Usually its when you've logged into your email or Facebook on both devices and it knows its "you" on both and carries the cookies forward. I'm guessing.

@Mamaof2: I'm guessing FB and Google probably share data like that to direct ads at you, but I'm not sure how it works.

Facebook keeps recommending I befriend my acupuncturist, who it has NO WAY of knowing that I know - I have never mentioned her or her practice or acupuncture and we have no friends in common. It is very very weird.

I hate this... anytime I search something then an ad for it will pop up on facebook, or on any other site I'm on (happens on here often too). I have to be careful about gift-shopping if DH would get on the computer after me! (or remember to use an incognito window)
