My dad bought DS a Huffy tricycle (regular small bike with training wheels) last summer, so DS will probably use that this summer at their house. He has a radio flyer tricycle (small toddler size trike) for our house!

DD has a 3-1 so I don't plan on getting her another bike until she either outgrows this or masters the two wheels.

@regberadaisy: we have a 3 in 1, as well but it's really clunky so I want to sell it and get her a bike of some sort that she can grow into.

We just got a 12" bike with training wheels. If you are going that route, I strongly suggest going to the store and figuring out what size she needs. I'm wishing we would have gotten a 14" or 16"! I have a feeling he is going to grow out of it by the end of the summer since the seat is already up as far as it can go.

Biking is a pretty big deal to our family, so we're going to invest in an Islabike Cnoc 14. She's long mastered the scoot bike, so we'll probably pick that up in another month or two.

I was thinking about getting a balance bike for Char, who turns 3 in July... but she is so apprehensive about everything! The 3 year old across the street from us dominates his, so it just varies with each kid.
