Will you wear a bikini with your post-baby body? I've never had the best stomach (it's where I store my fat) but I like my body and there isn't *too* much extra skin so I've started embracing it and just bought a bikini for the rest of the summer.

eta: my stomach hasn't seen the sun in over 5 years so its pasty white and the rest of me is tan - sometimes I wonder if my stomach was tan if I wouldn't mind wearing a bikini!

I did after my first two LOs as my stomach bounced right back both times and I am more comfortable in a bikini. I'm not even 48 hrs postpartum with LO3 yet so I can't say how my body will bounce back this time but the plan is to return to a bikini again!

I haven't worn a bikini since I was pregnant. I still have violently red stretch marks all over my entire midsection 3.5 years later and a one-piece just holds all of the jigglyness in one place which is way more comfortable for me especially when I'm chasing LO all over our community pool area.

Nope; but I never really liked bikini's... I liked my body just fine pre-kids but still felt more comfortable in tankinis.

Yes, I wear a bikini after 2 babies. I have stretch marks and extra skin but I also bust my ass in the gym and am proud of how I look. I hate the feeling of wet fabric, so the thought of a tankini or something similar freaks me out.

I did a few times after #1, when she was about a year and a half old. I weighed less then than when I got married, though my stomach was still looser. Don't know how things will go after baby 2, but not this summer.
Really tankini or rash guard are better for me when I'm with the LOs anyway. I don't have time to worry about if my tummy looks ok and would rather not have to. Plus rash guard means less sun screen and better sun protection.

I don't mind how I look in a bikini but my activities are much less conducive to wearing one....I'd feel super awkward at the splash pad in a bikini! When my LO was tiny it was easy, but now, the toddler tugging....

Yes, I wore them after my first. I even wear them now at 32 weeks pregnant, and will wear them again after this baby too.

I really hope that i will still feel comfortable wearing a bikini. I've never had a great stomach but I've also never totally cared. My good girlfriend is a tall beautiful skinny girl with great fake boobs. But she's had 3 kids with another on the way. Her poor tummy totally shows the aftermath of carrying the kids. But she is still a hot mama in a bikini. I hope I will still be the same, even if I wasn't tall and skinny to begin with.

I haven't worn one since having #1. I was actually my thinnest after #1, but to tell you the truth, he is way too active to wear one. I have one pieces or tankinis Since I have 2 boys to keep up with.

I don't mind wearing them so long as my lo's aren't with me. They pull and tug and I'd rather keep my bits to myself. When they're with me, I wear a tankini.

@Caly: good point- if I am without kids, I can wear one since I'd be doing things like walking into the water and relaxing in the beach or a pool chair. But I haven't had a beach or pool day like that in years, and squatting to pick up hermit crabs at the beach and swing my kid in the splash pad are a lot less flattering on my soft stomach! And the tugging of course.

Yes. One-pieces feel really constrictive and uncomfortable to me. I wore them pre-pregnancy too, when I was much heavier.

Eh, I would wear one but... I've never been much of a bikini person. I was a competitive swimmer/water polo/lifeguard so I'm good with a 1 piece. I wore bikinis bc everyone else did, but I'm never confident that I won't overexpose myself at some point. There's not much risk of that in a speedo, so that's what I prefer (especially with 2 LOs)

I have never worn a bikini in my life! tankini, yes. I have never had a nice, firm belly. Plus now after having my DD, even if I ever did firm up my tummy, I have stretch marks from my pubic bone, straight up to my boobs, ranging from hip to hip and thick! You know those like really bad stretch mark bellies you see from time to time on Pinterest about embracing your tiger stripes.....well let's say I'm beyond the point of embracing and they have engulfed me!
So long story short. No bikini ever for me....

I don't like to around the kids because I have a kid that loves to hang all over me and body parts are difficult to contain when you're constantly being tugged on...but yes. I will and do. Though I also prefer my stomach to match the rest of my body...I think i may get a spray tan before our vacation in September! lol

I've never had what would traditionally be defined as a "bikini body", but a bra-style bikini top supports my boobs and a tank suit doesn't, so bikini it is, kids or no kids.

@Caly: @Foodnerd81: exactly! I'm running around and lifting up my son, getting water for sand castles... there's no way a bikini would stay put.

I would, but I burn so easily and hate lathering up with sunscreen multiple times so I wear mostly tankinis. I recently got a rash guard because I cant be bothered to keep up with sunscreen on my shoulder and chest.

I've been fortunate the first two times to bounce back to my bikini bod pretty quickly and easily! That said, I generally don't wear skimpier bikinis while out with my kids - it's just not conducive to the activities we are doing! I definitely rock them with DH or on trips with friends, just not at the toddler splash pad!

are those of you wearing bikinis lucky enough to not have stretch marks? My belly isn't perfect, but it's not bad for having 2 kids. I would probably wear a bikini but it is covered in stretch marks. They're somewhat faded but i'm pretty self conscious and would be embarrassed to have them out for the world to see.

@Tidybee: I have stretch marks, but they aren't on my stomach and covered by my bikini. I got bottoms with a little more coverage than I used to wear to hide them. I think if I had them on my stomach I would be more self conscious.

YES! Last year I bought something that covers my belly, but that was BEFORE I was serious about slimming down. And this year I think I look good and I am wearing the bikini! We are going to a beach resort on July 4 weekend and I am looking forward to it
ETA: I only have one kid, and my stretch marks are not so bad. The stretch marks on my butt is worse than on my belly! Or maybe I am on denial...
