Is it weird to send a birth announcement when the baby is a month old? I really want to order and send announcements, but our newborn pictures weren't ready until now. He will be a month old by the time we make and send them. Weird?

Not weird at all! We just received an announcement for our niece, and she was born in the beginning of June. I think people are pretty understanding of new-mom timelines.

Ours went out when he was 2 months old. He was a preemie and in the nicu and stuff so I think everyone was pretty okay with it. A few people commented and I brushed it off with a "well, you got one before he went to college!"

I think I sent my son's announcement out when he was three months old! whoops! hahah

not weird at all! our daughter was in the NICU for 2 months and we waited until she was home to send them out. also, we didn't put her weight/height because we didn't want people to think "whaaaa? why is she so tiny?" because not everyone knew she was a preemie.

I think whenever! Our LO was born in Sept and we didn't have time to send until Feb...I just turned them into Valentines Cards!

I sent mine at three months ... That's when we got our pictures! I think people are always happy to get mail ... And pictures of babies
