I went to a labor & delivery class led by a nurse at the hospital I'll be delivering at, and I left the class feeling confident that they'll do what they need to do in order to give me as safe and pleasant a delivery as possible. That, in addition to the fact that I'm very trusting of my excellent doctors and that I'm a pretty flexible person makes me wonder if I really need a birth plan. I looked at some templates of birth plans, and my answer for all of the questions is: "Shrug. Whatever the doctor thinks is best."

Has anyone else gone into labor & delivery with this attitude and found that an official "birth plan" is unnecessary? Or, is there something else I should be considering?
