I'm almost 28 weeks with twins and completely slipped my mind that DH's birthday next week!!! We're not big on having celebrations, but I do need a gift 
any ideas ladies? Bonus for incorporating the pending arrival of our twins. I'm so stuck!!! He's an engineer, loves soccer, and recently picked up cooking as a hobby (and he's darn good!)

Well no idea with the twins, but I just got DH a Yeti koozie and tumbler for his birthday. They are high end, and keep the drinks cold all day. Seriously I left DH's in my cup holder and it still had ice in it the next morning, great to have at work.
Otherwise if he's into cooking I would do a basket of fun kitchen gadgets or get some high quality knives, since those make a huge difference.

I second that a dutch oven (le Creuset is my favorite) is a great chef's gift. Also if he's into healthy cooking a spiralizer is fun. OR! Depending on the type of cooking he's into, a nice cookbook. I recommend Sean Brock's Heritage.

DH loves his cast iron pan. Or what about a new cook book and some interesting ingredients (nice olive oil, vinegar, spices) or even a nice steak (if you are meat eaters). My DH is a tech-y guy who likes cooking and he really liked the book Cooking For Geeks.
I would also second a good knife set if you don't have one, along with a nice cutting board.
