Looking for a pair of black, skinny dress pants for work. Anyone seen some great ones lately?

@regberadaisy: I always liked J crew for that. I think the pants I had were called Minnie. they zipped on the side and weren't too pricey compared to their other stuff

@littleredhairedgrl: oh man, love love Ryder. But $70 is way more than I can / want to spend! Is Winnie typically ankle length? The one on the regular site is but there are a couple in the factory store. But I can't tell the inseam.

@regberadaisy: I think they're typical ON vanity sizing, so if you're in between sizes, I would go smaller. They are a good snug!

Ann Taylor. I just bought several cute pairs at the Factory store. Everything was 50% that week...not sure if sale is still going, but even the regular store has 40% off all the time.

Love Banana Republic -- especially because I'm short and with their petite sizing I don't have to hem them. I only buy on sale, they have sales pretty often. Like up to 30/40 percent off!

All of my favorite black work pants were Ann Taylor or express. I have a pair of skinny from both.

Perhaps not an everyday store suggestion around here, but Chicos sometimes has a decent selection of pants. I used to think of it a store more for my mom, but some of their pants actually fit quite nice.

I've had good luck at the Gap - I love their Skinny Minny pants, although I think those are ankle length. They have a pair listed on their site now called Bi-stretch Stovepipe Pant that looks pretty skinny and has good reviews. They're $70 but since they're pretty much constantly having 40% off sales I'm sure you could get them cheaper.
