I always love to gift my LO's books, no matter what the holiday! I am thinking ahead to Christmas and want to put some books on their wish list, plus take advantage of the book club through school.
What books will you gift your LO for the holiday's?

My son is 2 and loves cars. We randomly checked out "Calling All Cars" by Sue Fliess from the library, and he LOVED it. We're thinking we might buy him a copy for Christmas (or maybe another book she apparently wrote - "Tons of Trucks"). He's in a major truck/car/train phase right now.

I'm still trying to decide which books to buy, but I do already have Ada Twist, Scientist for my eldest's birthday.

Definitely return, the new(ish) Aaron Becker one from the quest series.
I usually get one or two winter themed books (we keep a rotating collection of seasonal books in our living room/play area). The Shortest Day has been on that list for awhile.
Maybe a Foxwood or Brambly Hedge book for my daughter who enjoys longer stories like Beatrix Potter.

My husband ordered several books that my son picked out, they're about Dinosaurs, money, fire trucks and something else.
I will probably also get him a few coloring books, those count, right?

@sorrycharlie: We are trying to complete our Llama Llama library as well! DD always looks at the back of the ones we have and tells me which ones we don't have at home.
We also got Rosie Revere, Engineer for DD's birthday so I would love to get the other two books and maybe some from the "My First Little House" series.

@Bao: Which Llama Llama books do you recommend? We only have the bed time one and DD loves it...so Id like to get her more...she freaks out at me in the morning if I dont come and get her - so recently I have started responding through the monitor "K stop throwing a tizzy" and she responds "sometimes mama is very busy"...cracks me up!
I got a bunch from Usborne last month...and have some more planned...: 1000s sticker books (Fairy's & Princesses); Sticker Dolly Dressing, Phoenic Readers, How to...(Feed your lion, bathe your alligator...etc), Astronaut Academy (for my nephew) and then a few more busy books!

@Mrs D: we literally love all of them! There's a new one coming out Tuesday about food and it's scratch n sniff so that will be our newest one!

@caterw: My son always looks at the back and asks for the others too! I need to just write them all down when he does that!
@Mrs D: We have Llama Llama trick or treat, llama llama jingle bells, llama llama easter eggs and the regular llama llama. LO loves them all! And we read them all year long!

We got her the illustrated version of HP and the Chamber of Secrets. She's way too young for it right now. We got her the first one last year so it's a Christmas tradition. She just got lots of books for her birthday and we'll get her some holiday books at the beginning of December, so she probably won't get any other books for Christmas.

@snowjewelz: If you're still pregnant Waiting For Baby is a good one, it talks about all the stuff leading up to babies - buying clothes and painting the room and mommy being tired.
