Man this is crazy! I'm glued to the tv. I'm cheering on all the officers to get this guy! I hope they are able to take him alive so we can get some answers.

I seriously hope they get this guy!! It sounds like the Boston authorities have done a wonderful job, and that neighbor that saw the ladder is awesome!

Between the local news and the police scanner, I heard they have the guy in the boat (in someone's backyard), still alive, just threw a flash grenade at him.

@runsyellowlites: I only have NBC, Fox, and CBS (sort of), so I didn't know about all this until hellobee ladies were saying this. I was only on cnn.com before. So I'm getting more accurate updates now.
Just saw the video of the gunshots near the house earlier. A LOT of shots fired. Don't know how anyone could survive that...

sorry, i should have added i'm watching WCVB, our local abc station. i like them because i feel like they try not to say anything they're not sure about or are very good about stating that they are speculating and not fact

Side note, but I don't understand how they did not search that boat earlier? I mean, they knocked on every door in the area multiple times, so it seems weird that they wouldn't have looked in the boat. I think we are missing something-- which is just fine, they should be worrying more about getting him and officers' safety than passing on the news to us!

@Mrs. Jacks: @Foodnerd81: i don't think he's coming out alive either, seems he doesn't want to. how does a suicide vest work? like is it detonated by the person wearing it or does it go off if he gets shot? that's probably a really stupid question, but i would think there'd be different kinds depending on what your goal was

@IRunForFun: They know it's someone with a vest on which may or may not be wired. No confirmation that it's #2, but good reason to think it's him.
And I agree, only recently moved to the boat. I think he sheltered in place until they allowed people to move about again.

The man whose house the boat owner is in just called abc and said they didn't know where suspect was until lockdown was lifted... Then the man noticed blood in his boat and saw a body.

@IRunForFun: i wish my fb newsfeed didn't resemble an action movie, way too close to home for so many friends & family =( grateful i'm a good distance away. i wouldn't have left the house after they lifted that order- i haven't left the house even as far away as i am!

so I've only been able to follow off and on because I couldn't watch at work... so I'm a little confused. If they know he is in that boat, and it's easily surrounded, why don't they just tear the tarp off and apprehend him?
Sorry if this is a really ignorant question. I just haven't been able to keep up with the news unfortunately.
