My husband and I are having a boy this fall, and I'd love to start a thread to share finds with other Boston area parents. We haven't decided who we're going with for the categories below, so I'd love to hear recommendations from others!

I'd also love also hear where people are delivering in the Boston area! I'm particularly looking for a midwife group, but any OB/Midwife type recommendations would be good too.

I go to Dr Navathe at Harvard Vanguard in PO Square. They also have a very strong midwife program - I'd definitely recommend checking them out.

@Foodnerd81: I've heard that the midwives at Mt Auburn hospital are the best around (from friends). My gyn is in metro west, so maybe too far out to be considered Boston

Well for daycare and pediatrician it really depends on where you live. We go to Westwood Pediatric and love it... They are open every day! I also love my OBGYN, Dr. Kolbas at New England OBGYN in Brookline. For photography I can't recommend Boston baby photos enough. We do our own photography but this photographer's work is just gorgeous.

Our pediatrician is Dr.Kerbel in Watertown on Mt.Auburn (Cambridge line), came highly recommended and he's great.
The midwives & birthing center at Mount Auburn is fantastic and if anyone needs a lactation consultant Elena Bizounik at Mount Auburn was a tremendous help to me.

@Rachel: I delivered at Mt. Auburn and they were amazing. I had many complications but under their care was able to have a vaginal birth.

Congrats! I also go to new england obgyn, my doc is dr bunnell and i like her but also really liked dr lampert, dr vincent and dr connelly. Pediatrician who we LOVE is dr richard marshall at harvard vanguard's copley office. Also worked with dr boehnert at their fenway office and really liked him.
We did newborn photos but not recommending our photographer as i wasnt ecstatic about her work. Good luck!

@chrispygal: cool! We go to Dr. Strauss who used to go to both offices but recently switched to just Westwood.
