I thought I was done with figuring out gear but apparently not. Is have both a bouncer and Rock 'N Play worthwhile? Is it more either or? Please note I'm asking as someone who doesn't have much space is only trying to get what is absolutely necessary for the first several months.
Thoughts?

If you don't have a lot of space I would say one or the other is fine. That being said we have them both and use them both. She sleeps in her RnP at night and for some naps. We also bring it with us to other people's houses. The bouncer I use more when she is awake. It's really portable so it goes in the kitchen while I cook, in the bathroom while I shower, etc. the bouncer is great because it keeps her really upright which is great for her reflux and also nice because she can see me while I get stuff done.

I say a rnp is essential! Its so portable so you can take it if you are going to a friends house. LO loves sleeping in it more than the crib. Plus its easy to stow him in there if i need my hands free.
We also have a bouncer. Our LO hates it but i think thats more preference than anythn else.

I like both. Actually I have 2 bouncers ( one upstairs and one downstairs) and a r&p next to the bed. Baby Bjorne bouncer seems to be her favorite, I got a used one and she loves it.

I swear by our R'n'P, but we don't have a bouncer, so I can't help with that part. The R'n'P is portable, makes a great place for LO to sleep either next to the bed or in the living room, and will be great for when we visit grandparents. She'll have a place to sleep that is familiar to her.

Our LO naps beautifully in her RnP, she doesnt seem to care for her bouncer much.

We live in a small space and had both a rocker (not the RnP) and the bouncer. At least for our LO they seem to be items used at different times--we used the rocker for the first 4/5 months and we use the bouncer from 5.5/6 months to present (LO is 8.5 months now).

We have both (and used both), but I would choose the RnP over the bouncer if you're trying to save space.

My LO HATED the bouncer. We didn't have a rnp, but it's on the list for #2.

We have and use both. To pick one...maybe the bouncer bc you can use that for sleep and awake time. For awake time, I would attach the toy bar and she would sit there for up to 40 min while I ate etc.

I would say no to the bouncer for the beginning... We got the rock n play and bouncer and LO had sat in bouncer like twice. I am starting to put him in it more now at 10 weeks but the rock n play had been the best thing ever.
