Someone told me yesterday that "boys always look like their mothers, girls look like their fathers."
It's true for DS, he looks just like me but has his dad's coloring (I'm a pale redhead and DH is tan/dark).
Is this statement true for you & your LOs?

I can't vote because Sadie doesn't look like either of us! I think she favors my mom the most, but has my dad's eyes. She doesn't really look like Dan's side much at all.

It's kind of true for us. LO looked like DH until about 16 months. Now she looks just like I did at her age.

Boy looks like dad, girl looks like mom for us! But for me and my brother, we started out as boy looks like mom, girl looks like dad and now as adults we totally switched!

i have no idea, i think mr. bird's genes are gonna be the dominant ones (which is fine with me, he's kind of gorgeous), but i'm excited to find out someday! in my family, i am my dad's mini me and my brother is my mom's.

My daughter looks so much like DH it's not even funny! She's his little clone, if I wasn't there for her birth, I wouldn't know she was mine!!

DD looks so much like her dad! But I think the baby/dad resemblance is often strongest when they are itty bitty babies and lessens as the baby starts to look more like him or herself than either parent.
But for now at 6 months, yeah people say it aaalllll the time how she looks like Dh.

It's not true for us- DD looks like me and DS looks like my husband!
I look like my dad and my little brother looks like my mom though! Butttt my little sister also looks like my mom.

It's not always true. I have two boys and one looks a lot like me and the other is starting to look a lot like his dad. Also, in the Chinese culture it's actually good for girls to look like dad and boys to look like mom. Good how? I forget exactly but they'll have a good life?

DD looks so much like her dad it's scary. One time, she was napping next to me while I was reading, and I glanced over and actually thought for a second it was my husband lying there.

My LO is still cooking but I voted for my sister. She has a little girl and she looks just like her dad!
My 3D ultrasound of my little boy looked a lot like me though. But you can't really tell. Lol

Nope, everyone says E looks a lot like me. But her facial expressions and mouth are all DH! Now that she's older, I hear a lot of how she's a good mix

I sometimes think E is D's clone, especially comparing their baby pictures. But overall I think he's a good mix of us. I don't think anyone would doubt he's both of ours!

C has always looked more like her dad, with my dad mixed in. I am convinced she will grow up to look like my sister (who looks more like my dad) mixed with my SIL.

I don't know about our LO yet, but when I was a kid everyone said how much I looked like my dad. However as I got older, especially through my teens and 20s I definitely look a lot like my mom. So I think it changes!

My Little girl is my mini-me. I am just praying and wishing upon a star that she has her daddy's tall height! I told him that's all she needs from daddy is his height. LOL (he's 6'0 and I am 5'0).

My daughter didn't look a thing like either of us when she was born... then, by 2 months, she was a clone of her father. Now that she is a bit older, some of my features are starting to peek through. A bit. A very tiny bit.

I think I look like both my parents.
DS is a mix of both of us. People usually say he looks like his daddy, but he actually looks just like I did at his age.
