@MamaMoose: Go M!!! I can't wait til my M starts stringing words together so we can have little convos

Yesterday when I got to daycare one of M's teachers was sitting on the floor with a little girl in her lap who was screaming and M was sitting next to them. I immediately asked the teacher if M had done something to the girl to make her cry and the teacher quickly said no! and that it was the little girl's first day and M was trying to play with her and show her toys to make her stop crying. Makes me proud that she's already so caring and sympathetic towards others

We just had S's 18 month appointment, and she's up in her percentiles! She's been eating really well lately (knock on wood), so we're really happy

She also recently started saying "persevere" (she says pi-peer, and has no idea what it means, but it's super cute) - she was trying really hard to connect her high chair clips and DH said she was persevering - and she picked up on it!

Everyone on our flights gave us so many compliments about how well behaved and happy the boys were.

My baby is adorable and at almost 9 months she finds ways to amaze me everyday - yesterday was figuring out the walker and walking through the kitchen to "find" my mom in the laundry room

She's such a weird and funny little kid. A couple of days ago my grandma was drinking a soda, and Vi was asking for some, and my grandma says "No you are too little for soda." Then she turns to ask me - "When can she have soda?" Before I could even respond, Vi puts her hand on her hip and does this half eye roll and says "Pshh, never."

I can't imagine where she got that.

My four month old is sleeping through the night almost regularly!

@MamaMoose: I know, right? When I told DH the story he asked why I would assume she'd done something wrong! I just really don't want to be a naive parent that thinks their kid is an angel 24/7, but I guess I also shouldn't always assume the worst.

My 21 month old sang the entire no more monkeys jumping on the bed song this morning in the car! Adorable!

My DD has been reading my DS bed time stories on her own. The teachers in my DS's toddler room say that he is the most popular kid in class and gets along with everyone. So proud!

@MamaMoose: aww love that! My son's doctor gave me and him glowing compliments at his two year well child and it just puffed my heart with pride.

One thing he has been doing recently is pointing out letters everywhere... like on the dishwasher, "O-N, O-F-F" I was shocked! So then we started talking about what they spell and he kept saying O-N, on. It was way cute.

@MamaMoose: Impressive! B loves telling me after he has gone potty what he has done. He is sooo proud "mommy, I went pee pee in diaper." (big smile)

Lately B has had a word explosion. He is making longer and longer sentences. He also knows all his shapes, colors, letters and can count up to 10.

Maybe 15 days old is too early to brag, but E was back up to birth weight at his 1 week check-up, nurses like a champ, and his dr. said he was an A+ baby.

This is such a relief, since he was born via c-section at 37 weeks and I was really worried we'd struggle with BFing.

B sat through a three hour graduation the other day without one peep, he listened the whole time and acted interested! Everyone told me how behaved he was (I didn't go but I got quite a few texts from DH's family of how they were impressed with him).

E has really cut back on the tantrums lately...hooray!

I have another talker here, too. Everyone comments on how verbal he is, which is hilarious because to us, it seems like he hardly talks in front of other people.

He's 17 months and pretty regularly strings 3-4 words together. I don't really know what's "normal" for this age, but his teachers say he talks way more than other kids, and I haven't really known many other toddlers around his age who talk as much as he does.

Also, he has a really good overhand throw! And can shoot baskets one handed on his little basketball hoop!

J just rolled from back to front… so he can go both ways! Watch out he's officially mobile

J can spell his name and write it out, too. He's two and a half as of today.
He loves writing letters and is really, really good at it!

He also is ridiculously good at sports, can get a golf ball in the hole, hits a baseball out of the air, etc. Yesterday he set up three blocks as targets in the house and kicked the soccer ball to knock t each one down. Training exercises, lol

E knows all of his letters and can sing the alphabet, can count to 12 (usually correctly), and knows all of the Brown Bear animals. I had a phone conference with his teacher last week, and she told me that she thought his verbal skills were a big strength...that he's not a motor-mouth, but when he talks he's very clear and concise (which is such a relief to see/hear, since I was worried about his slow speech development).

He also randomly started saying and signing "more please" which is weird since he showed no interest in signing so we stopped trying months and months ago and it's not something they do at daycare.
