I want to make some homemade bread today. I bought active yeast and the other main ingredients, and have a decent amount of other ingredients on hand. I've browsed Pinterest but there are a lot of different variations. I want a simple bread that can be used for sandwiches/toast but not too bland either. Do you have an easy bread recipe you could share?

DH and his mom used to make bread for teachers gifts each year when he was in school. He taught me that if you steam up your bathroom and put the bread in there it will rise faster.

I've only ever done no knead bread, which takes a long time but most of it is hands off. I made regular and one with dried fruits and nuts that was yummy with cheese- but they are all pretty crusty and maybe too hard for LOs to eat on a sandwich. Let us know what you end up doing!

I'm in my phone but Google "Amish white bread by Bakerette." Her version uses almond milk but I've used regular milk too and it's just fine. Makes gorgeous white sandwich bread that's slightly sweet - I halve the recipe to make 1 loaf at a time OR make the full dough recipe and use 1 batch to make cinnamon raisin swirl bread (2T sugar, 1 heaping teaspoon cinnamon, 1/3 cup of raisins....roll out dough into a rectangle, spread dough with beaten egg, then sprinkle cinnamon sugar and then raisins, roll up into a log and pinch the ends closed)
