My son is almost 6 months and exclusively breastfed. He hasn't had a bowel movement in 7 days and just had one. Finally! It was super thick though! It was yellow like usual. But very thick like peanut butter. I've never seen it so thick before. Is this b/c he hadn't gone in 7 days? Is this normal?

whoh- what a sight huh? I can't indefinitely answer, as my son isn't BF, but the longer food stays in, the thicker the stool is. That is why EBF babies poop more often and it is very watery or runny, because BM digests so quickly (so it runs through). So, if he was having issues digesting, and delays in digestion, then yeah, it will be thicker, i'm assuming?

This happened to us too! I just figured it was because she hadn't gone in a couple days. She just hit six months and we've been playing around with BLW. I don't think that's it though cause she's had very little solid food and we play with solids about twice a week(tops).

Phew, ok. I thought it was probably normal. It was crazy tho. I felt him start to go so I hurried him to his changing table and started changing his diaper. Then he kept going and it seriously looked like frozen yogurt coming out his bum. It was gnarly. Sorry if that's tmi!!!

Ha love your analogy! Totally normal A often goes 4-6 days between poos when we do not give her alot of solids.
