Does your little one wake up (from a nap) because they pooped? Do you try to put them back to sleep after you change them?

sometimes olive poops in the middle of the night (usually in the early morning like 5am), but i can always get her back to sleep. i don't think she's woken up from a nap poop since she was a newborn. although she's only 4 months old

Every. Single. Morning. For some reason my son has a bowel movement around 4;30 or 5 am every morning and that is what wakes him. If it is the middle of the night we can get him back to sleep but it can take a little doing. I asked the pedi if there was anything we could do to help get my son's bowel movements to a more convenient time frame but alas, not so much.
If it were just a nap, then we likely wouldn't try to put him back to sleep unless it was the start of a nap rather than after a sleep cycle.

DS hasn't pooped in his sleep since he was a newborn. We EC, so I think that really helped him "hold it" because now he doesn't go at all unless we give him the opportunity to.

Lo wakes up with a poo in the morning, but never earlier than her normal wake up and she hasn't poo'd during a nap yet. Once she wakes up she's impossible to get back to sleep so I wouldn't bother.

@Cchoi4: Elimination Communication, sorry. We basically put DS on the potty. He loves it and gets all excited and knows what to do lol. We've been doing it part time since he was about 2 months old, but have really gotten into it the last few months. I think I saw a few posts about EC floating around here

When my son wakes up from a nap because he pooped, I change and put him back to his crib. He's fallen asleep consistently.

Funny that I see this post today ... I think Baby Y's morning nap was so short today because he pooped. Normally he wouldn't wake up or would go back to sleep, but it was a harder one that was probably difficult to get out. He's recently been eating meats and grains in his purees and is probably feeling the effects. Back to prunes!
