DS is 7.5 months old & EBF. I have ZERO desire for sex. Which is crazy since I could never get enough before. And when we do have sex, the bra stays on and my boobs are off limits. They're just so not sexual right now!
If you breastfed, how did it affect your libido? If you lost that lovin feelin, when did it come back?

It came back eventually... But I hear you on the bra, it was just the most awkward thing ever.

Mine didn't really come back until my period returned at 14 months PP. I never really had a high sex drive to begin with though. (I didn't wean until 19 months but I was already pregnant then).

LO is 8mo and basically no sex drive. DH is thrilled.

Bra stayed on during nursing and libido hasn't really returned. Kids are 3 1/2 and almost 2.

I have a higher libido while breastfeeding, but your experience is more normal. Things will usually go back to normal when you stop breastfeeding.

With my first i don't recall my libido returning unyil 12 ish months. This time my libido returned at three months, and my period returned at five. But, for the love...don't touch my boobs

I didn't start out with an incredibly high libido to begin with, but I hear you, & still feel no real drive still at 9mo pp. I didn't know whether bf is to blame, or just being tired & less time to do anything, or both. I don't feel any more awkward about my breasts, though it is kind of weird when they leak during sex.

After both my kids, my libido tanked. I cannot stand him doing anything to my breasts and it is a real problem, honestly, as DH has a very high sex drive. Despite having two c-sections, I also find post partum sex very painful, partially due to breastfeeding hormones and partially internal tightness (seeing a women's health physio over it this time).

Very little drive while BFing. After my first birth intercourse was incredibly painful for the year I bf. It hasn't been nearly as bad after LO2 but it's still uncomfortable and a barrier to having sex at 9 months.

I have very little drive these days (still
BfIng a lot at 12 months) but I can get into it if my husband initiates. He basically knows that it's on him and I will never really turn him down but to hopefully not take my of lack initiating personally!
@travelgirl1: same here, c-section but still was very painful at first and still we have to be careful. Not to be tmi but we've found me being on top helps A LOT. It basically feels like nothing to sandpaper in any other position.

I mean, I nursed until lo was almost 2, so it would have been a challenge for our marriage if it took that look for my libido to come back! I wasn't interested for a few months, but things evened out eventually. I'm not sure how long though, maybe 4 months? And I was able to compartmentalize breastfeeding from sex too.

I voted non-existent till I weaned, which happened around 9 months (not by choice). Boobs were def a "please not touch" area, haha! I think it was also cause DD wasn't STTN and I was just tired with work, pumping, not STTN, etc.
After I weaned I was definitely more into it, but even now I don't really like my boobs being touched anymore!

It came back after a few months but it's nowhere near what it was. I still don't like having my boobs touched. With this pregnancy, I have zero sex drive and it bothers me.

With my first, it didn't come back until after I weaned (13 months). Even then, I wasn't comfortable enough with my body and felt a bit ashamed. With my second, my sex drive came back within a few months. I've also learned to accept my new body, which helps quite a bit.

I was not ready for sex as soon as hubby, that's for sure!
For the first while after we started being intimate again, it was mostly for him, not me, and that's totally normal when you're still post partum.
The thing that bothered me most during the ten months I breast fed, was my normally boob obsessed husband who would TMI- lick and suck the girls- wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. He was afraid of getting squirted in the face, lol. And wouldn't ever dream of tasting the milk, saying it was for DD.
