I'm planning on breastfeeding the twins, but I know I'll need a break and that DH wants to help with feedings too. I'm planning to pump so they can get breast milk in a bottle.
What bottles did you use with your breastfed LO? I'm all nervous about nipple confusion and whatnot haha

MAM is what worked best for my son. We tried Breastflow, Mimijumi, and Bornfree first but found MAM was the right one for him. Same with pacifiers.

We have multiple types of bottles but we just ended up using the medela bottle that came with my pump. She gets a bottle of expressed milk for her midnight feeding and she hasn't had a problem going back and forth between bottle and breast. She's 5 weeks today

If we're bottle feeding her breast milk I just used the ameda bottles that came with my pump.
But we also have dr browns for formula.

I'm not a mama yet, so this isn't advise directly from a breast feeding mama but I do have some twin experience as a former nanny to newborn twins & a support to my BFF who had twins as a single mama.
My BFF loved playtex drop ins for two reasons- she did a lot of pumping to build up her supply & while they were in the hospital and she could just pump into the bags and feed them right from the same bags without any pouring or extra washing. They also made for less bottle washing as you only had to wash the tops & took up much less room in a diaper bag than extra bottles x2.
With the twins I nannied for, we had 2 wide necked dr browns and two gerber ones their mom would pump into. That was it. But, there was a nanny in the house 24/7 so there was never an unwashed bottle by the time they needed to eat again. The dr browns were great for their reflux. Washing extra parts was a PITA, so I wouldn't go right to them unless you find they are gassy or have reflux issues.
At a breast feeding conference I was at, the lactation consultants spoke very highly of the breast flow bottles, those have a disposable liner version as well if you wanted to pump into bags, but they also have extra parts in the nipple to wash.

We used the hospital's bottles and nipples for quite some time, but then he needed bigger bottles.
I use Avent bottles with Mam nipples (only sizes 1 and 2, they are fairly slow flow!) I've tried Nuk since that is the only paci he will take, but no dice. I've never tried the Mam bottles, only bought the separate nipples for the Avent bottles I was given. He wasn't a real fan of the Avent nipples, so we do things the hard way!

I haven't used them, because I haven't started pumping yet but I got some breastflow bottles and nipples om serious clearance at marshalls/tj maxx. I want to start pumping soon though so DH can feed her some. It will be nice to say "here's a bottle, i'll be back in an hour or two"...for now, a girl can dream!

@mrsjazz: I've heard great things about the Calma bottles. The price stinks on them tho... They are $21 per bottle up here!
We started out with Playtex drop-ins, then I used a Nuk bottle, along with the Medela ones then we moved exclusively to the Avent bottles. He preferred those. I didn't know that I could put other nipples (MAM, is it?) on the Avent collars. Good to know!

In the hospital she was given the premixed enfamil that comes in a bottle. At home we had the playtex nursers with drop ins and then later we bought a few avent bottles

I'm not sure how you would pump into the drop in liners. Also the bags/liners in general are not always accurate on ounces so I always just pumped into bottles.
We went for the cheapest option first which was te medela bottles that came with the pump and then some gerber ones from target (3/$3 made in USA and BPA free). They fit on my pump and she didn't have any issues.
We tries a few others and didn't notice anything great about them so we just stuck with te cheapies.

When I did breastfeed, we used breastflow bottles. First we tried drop ins and those didn't work at all and she got lazy and didn't want the boob anymore, but the breastflow bottles fixed that problem.

Anyone tried Gerber bottles? I read about them and they are CHEAP on amazon. Rec'd by Moms On Call.

Well I have only given my LO one bottle so far but I used the Tommee Tippee closer to nature bottle..

Um...I've tried Tommee Tippee, Playtex Ventaire, Dr. Brown's, Drop ins, Avent, Medela...and we now use Mam!

@Shimmer: I am a BIG fan of the MEdela bottle with the medela Calma nipple. You can go and read about why it is most like breastfeeding and how important that is. Today I gave my babe a 'regular' nipple (some kind of avent) and he was drinking from it but it was very strange...like he was chewing and doing weird things. So then I freaked out and switched back to the medela calma and for the first 10 seconds he was doing those same weird things to that one, until he realized that with the calma the only way he will get the milk is if he uses proper technique! I am just going to say that I would not want him doing to MY nipple what he did after coming off that 'regular' bottle nipple.

We use the Dr. Brown's bottle, DD takes to them with ease, the only thing I don't like about them is there is sooooo many parts to the bottle.

We've only ised Tommee Tippee so far because she does really well with them. I have a 3 pack of MAM bottles because they came so highly recommended, but DH won't try them because she uses the TT ones fine and he doesn't want to mess with a good thing
