I'm almost 35 weeks and baby is still breech. With every week that it stays breech, the chances of it flipping are less and less.
My OB said that if baby hasn't flipped by 38 weeks, I can either go in for an external cephalic version or schedule a c-section for 39 weeks. I've read up and I'm not crazy about the idea of the ECV. The chances of success are only about 50%, there are some risks, and it's supposed to be pretty painful.
I'm also not crazy about a c-section, but the way I figure it is, if there's a 50% chance I'll the ECV won't work, AND even if baby DOES flip, that doesn't mean I won't need a c-section for some other reason. At least if I schedule a section, I'll have some control over the situation.
Has anyone had to make this decision . What did you decide and how did you come to the decision?
