Seriously!?
squash / 13208 posts
Ok at 1st I though - oh, baby in an ergo!
Then I saw the picture! WTF???
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
Yeah I read this...WTH!! "baby was secure" ummm really on your train at a month old?????
eggplant / 11716 posts
@mrsjyw: um...wha? "well secured" on the train? Well secured how? That poor baby looks so uncomfortable. It's just so...off.
Even though I don't believe the baby was in danger, I just think it shows poor impulse control and bad judgement.
Poor tiny newborn. =(

@Mamaof2: ummm, I am thinking baby in a carrier too....your reaction is making me afraid to click, lol.
grapefruit / 4649 posts
Oh my... I was thinking ergo or something similar too, secured to the train is a totally different story... I don't even feel like it is lovely symbolism either whereas carrying the baby or properly wearing it could be nice. I do think calling CPS is probably going a bit far though.

Wow... just... wow.
At first I thought it was going to be someone babywearing in an ergo or wrap and I was thinking "That's sweet!" and that I saw what it really was... it just seems so unsafe! Someone could easily trample that baby like that!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
what?! I was thinking a baby in a carrier and thought "aww how cute"....ummm this is just ridiculous, who thinks of these things?
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@Mamaof2: I thought baby in carrier too! I was completely shocked... the article just left me wanting more details too. Was the baby detached after the procession in? What the heck inspired her to do this?
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
OMG!!!! Like PP said, I thought via a baby carrier like an ergo, not on fastened to the train of the wedding gown!! WTF?!?!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
I just can't even imagine how in their head they thought that this was a good idea.
honeydew / 7589 posts
Um... I don't think that qualifies as wearing. And I also can't figure out... why? Like really, who came up with that idea?
I'm sad, I was hoping for a picture of a baby in a beautiful wrap for the wedding...
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
Wow. It's obvious mama's focus is not her LO. I am seriously breaking out my judge-y wagging finger here because, well, no . . . just NO. SMH

Gotta love TN. Where apparently, we are incapable of teaching people how to properly care for children, or speak the English language (did anyone read her rant in the article??).
eggplant / 11824 posts
Some people make me weep for the future of humanity. Pulling her infant along on the ground behind her is all good because apparently Jesus had her back. WTF
coconut / 8861 posts
When I first saw this picture, I thought that it was a joke/Internet meme. I had no idea that it's real. If the baby was in a carrier, it would have been sweet and adorable, not scary like this pic.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@Mamaof2: @arden: i was trying not to use the word "drag" like in the article... just changed thread title, because it def isn't babywearing
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
Jesus. I wonder if that baby was even able to support it's own head at a month old? I don't see how that is "safe and secure"..
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
Well, if the baby were in a traditional wrap, it wouldn't have been news!
What an interesting choice, not what I expected.
cantaloupe / 6751 posts
WTF.
And the mother's statement... geez. Couldn't understand half her gibberish.
watermelon / 14467 posts
I definitely thought it would be a picture of a mom wearing her baby in a carrier/wrap...this is not wearing. I don't know who thought that attaching the baby to the train of her dress was a good idea, but they were wrong.
Poor little baby. That had to hurt.
eggplant / 11824 posts
@MsLipGloss: hopefully Jesus had it's back too haha - with a mother who makes decisions like that, that little thing will need all the help s/he can get!
pomelo / 5220 posts
dear lord, what is wrong with people? No one could just hold the baby for her during the ceremony?
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
Bet she thought she was going to get a ton of pins on Pinterest for this. Whoops!
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@yoursilverlining: I'd like to drag her keester down the aisle (in the same unsupported uncomfortable-looking position)!
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@lawbee11: I keep wondering when we are going to see the spin-off *Pinterwhaaaaa?* or *Pinterwhack*
pomegranate / 3791 posts
At what point in the wedding planning process she think, "What would be the best way to involve LO? Oh, I know! I'll attach her to my train and drag her down the aisle! That will be so precious!" Just...what? No. You're crazy, lady.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MsLipGloss: OMG, you should create that!!! Maybe you'll get rich!!
eggplant / 11716 posts
@wonderstruck: and why didn't her family or friends say something?? Like 'hey guys, I had an amazing idea! I'm going to put my newborn on top of my dress and drag her down the aisle."
Friends: "What a great idea!" ?????
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
I showed this link to my friend at work and he pointed out that it seems kind of hypocritical of her that she all "Jesus this, and Jesus that" when she got pregnant way before she was married.

Dear god.
Sometimes I wish people had to pass a test before they could raise a baby.
papaya / 10473 posts
I just saw that they are fairly local to me. How special. Too soon for me to invite her to our babywearing group?
pomegranate / 3791 posts
@Anagram: Maybe it was a 'surprise'? I hope so. But I don't know, it seems like a person crazy enough to come up with this idea probably doesn't choose the most sane logical people as her friends.
wonderful pea / 17279 posts
According to the woman the entire congregation is drinking the juice. Everyone in attendance thinks baby on wedding dress train is A - ok.
Maybe they didn't have time to decorate a stroller or wagon and maybe everyone else's arms were tired.
GOLD / squash / 13464 posts
@grizz: Oh I'm sure she would LOVE to join!!! Also, in response to your first comment, I sometimes secretly wish that everyone would have to get their tubes tied at birth and then have to pass a test and a psycological exam to have them untied!!!
GOLD / squash / 13464 posts
@wonderstruck: @Anagram: But surely someone else had to actually attach the baby to the dress for her right?? How did that person not say to themselves "I don't think I feel good about this life choice....."
