There is a Brita B Ready for sale on Craigslist for $100. It looks clean and in good condition. I'm not pregnant, so am I crazy for considering this? Is it a good stroller?

LOVE my B-ready. Its not to heavy for a full sized stroller, had tons of configurations for 1 and 2 seats, I loved the bassinet option and I really loved that I could snap in my infant seat without an adaptor. Britax really does make awesome quality.

@prettylizy: I'm glad you like it. I've been eyeing that stroller.
That seems like a good deal, but if you're not even pregnant yet, it might be better to wait. Or buy it and if you change your mind later, you could resell it.

You may want to go check it out in a store first or ask if you can test drive it before committing yourself to buying it. Before we started TTC, I was obsessed with the B-Ready (but just based on looks and reviews). Then a few months ago I was at BBB buying a shower gift and I decided to check it out, and I was kinda disappointed. It's much wider than I thought it would be--I drove it around and it just seemed like it would be a pain to navigate through a mall or grocery store or zoo because it's so wide. I am going to go back again now that we're pregnant and look at it more closely. $100 is a really good price for it, though!

it's a 2011, you can tell by the wheels. they made a few updates for the 2012 because people were having problems with the wheels on the 2011s. replacement wheels can be bought from britax, but honestly i would probably wait. i bought one for work (looove that i get a chance to play with baby gear before buying my own, haha) and i like it a lot, but unless you are sure it's that you want i wouldn't yet. do you think you'll want either a b-safe or chaperone carseat? are you sure you want a giant stroller? are you planning on having LOs so close in age that they'll both in be a stroller at once? and i highly doubt she paid $500 for it, if she did someone should shake her! you can buy new open box one for $280 shipped and it won't have the wheel issues just to give you some idea of the price you can get them for ( http://www.babyearth.com/britax-open-box-britax-b-ready-stroller-black.html ). also britax does events a couple times a year where you buy the stroller and get a carseat or bassinet free.

@lawbee11: i've used one in all those places, and yes, it's wide, but it has to be to accommodate the second seat underneath. i have bumped the wheels on doorways a few times, but it's really not that bad and i don't kick it which is nice. it is really heavy though and i don't know why they couldn't put a handle on the side to make it easier to pick up. over all i like it though, enough that i'll keep it and use it when i get pregnant (i've used graco, chicco, maclaren, and peg perego strollers that i can't say that about!).

I guess I should pass on it, I don't want kids close enough in age to still be in strollers, and I really like the Joovy Kooper buuut they don't sell it anymore. Womp womp. Thanks for the info!
