I bought the Blvd for extra head protection but I will probably buy a Marathon for my MIL.

I've been browsing this site to decide on a convertible seat.

I want something that will most likely accommodate him until he can move to a booster so we don't have to buy another seat in between.

We got the Marathon. I didn't think that spending the extra money was necessary. They're all excellent carseats.

We have 2 marathons (classic and Marathon 70) and a boulevard. Boulevard is a bit bulky so we use that in the suv and marathon is just an all around great car seat and very versatile. I love them all.

We went with the Boulevard for the same reason as @autumnlove: . I like the extra head padding thingies.

We're going for the marathon because we dont want a huge bulky seat and I think the extra head support thing on the others would just piss her off.
