Has anyone heard how long the free ride event will go on for???
I saw the Britax in in action the other day and really liked it...and i also really like the fact that i can buy a stroller and get a carseat for the same price?
Do they have these sales a few times a year of just once a year??? Trying to determine if we should just bight the bullet and buy it before the event is over or just wait and hope there is another event like this later this year....Baby C is due in December....

@MrsCastro: Now I don't know that for sure so take it with a grain of salt but when I was googleing it to see when this one started I got the impression it was a once a year thing!

Sometimes they do it once a year, sometimes they've done it twice. But I'm guessing this year since it was in June, this might be it. Other years when it was twice, it was in the winter and then again in the fall. I'm pretty sure the sale ends at the end of the month.
I would say if you like the stroller + 2nd item, buy now! We were still TTC at the last sale and we regretted not buying the stroller + carseat we wanted when we had the chance (our carseat isn't part of the sale any more). We kept saying after the last one ended that we were going to buy at the next sale, whether we were actually pregnant or not! Luckily we are :).

@MrsCastro: I also believe its only once per year. I'd recommend you head over to a store and try them out though. I was all set to get the B-Ready (during the free ride event) and then after test driving them ended up much preferring the B-Agile! For such a big purchase I'd definitely try them out first!

@MrsCastro: We got the b-ready, which is the only stroller included in the sale, and the 2nd seat. Then we got the chaperone car seat separately, since we really wanted that and not the b-safe. And because I'm a dork, here's some pics

@MrsCastro: Well partially it was the cowmooflage fabric, LOL. It is SO hard picking things out with DH. Once we decide on something he's super stubborn about changing his mind. We both love the cowmooflage and he didn't want to consider changing it.
But on top of that, the Chaperone is safer because it has the anti-rebound bar. Also, we plan to travel when DS is 3-4 months old and we don't want to take the b-ready because I'm afraid of something happening to it on the plane - I've heard bad things, and Britax stopped making the protective bag for the b-ready. So we're going to use a snap n go just for the trip. The b-safe is ever so slightly different than the Chaperone and won't work in the snap n go.

@MrsTiz: I have a Toyota Venza, so no problems there. But I was worried about DH's car - a Nissan Versa, which is a pretty compact car. It was fine on the passenger side, except that the front seat needs to be all the way up. I assume you're installing in the middle for extra safety/car manual says to? I'm not sure we could do that in either of our cars and still have leg room for either passenger.

@MrsCB: DH is tall, so I hate to put it in the middle because then he would have to sit on the dashboard..i'm glad you guys are putting it to the side because we'll probably have to. I don't have the seat yet but I do have a base and it's maassiive!

@Ash: and now that is the one i know i for sure want...now i just have to figure out if the "free ride" event even makes sence for us...since i really wanted the b-ready and chaperone. but only the b safe is included in the free ride event...bummer

@MrsCastro: Yeah, we were really annoyed too, and I was wishing the same thing. They used to do both carseats in the sale. I almost called and complained. But then that sounded silly, "Hi I'm mad because I don't want the free car seat you're offering, I want a different free car seat, because the one I want is cuter..."
We ended up getting the 2nd seat because we plan to have 2 kids close together. I wasn't super thrilled about it, but DH wasn't budging on the chaperone, and I'm sure we have no use for the bassinet.

@MrsCastro: You could always do the B-Ready and the second seat or the bassinet and purchase the Chaperone separately. We did the B-Ready and the B-Safe, both in red, but through Amazon. It was only $379 on Amazon!
Edit: I see your thoughts on the bassinet now, lol. oops.

@MrsTiz: Well, you might still have a problem with him fitting in the car. Once DH installs the base in his car, I will pretty much never ride in it, and if I do it'll have to be in the backseat. My car will be the family car.

@MrsCastro: I had a whole thread on in a few weeks ago. I think it's helpful if you walk places or will be going on lots of walks with a young baby. But we always drive and DS will be born in November. So not much walking around outside. You could also use it for the bassinet function in your room, but we already have a rock n play, which I like better than the bassinet.

I did this last year and got the B-Ready and the B-safe. The Chaperone would not fit in my car. I drive a Honda Insight. So its a smaller car and I needed the smaller carseat. I love them. So, so glad I have them. I stinking LOVE the B-Ready.

Man I wish I would've known I needed this sooner! lol. I think the B ready for our double would be the best option... but we just paid for G's church camp so extra funds are diminished until next month! boo
I wonder if by chance they'd have another one by next March?! lol

@MrsCastro: we did this last year and we got the b ready and chaperone for $400 at buy buy baby. They let us use the 20% off coupon. We later bought the bassinet bc I wanted her to sleep in our room for a little while..

@MrsCastro: yeah, that's the only reason why we did it last year.. Initially I was looking at the b agile or city mini, but decided on the b ready when we could get our choice carseat free! Have you gone in store and practiced carrying the chaperone? I would suggest doing that and bringing a 10 pound sack of rice.. That car seat is heavy!

@LaineysMom: oh my good to know...i just looked at the weight of the BSafe 16lbs and the Chaperone 20lbs...seems like a big differnce when caring a baby...
i also checked the pricing at BBB and it was 499 there vs 374 on amazon...

So, a $25 difference (you can use a 20% off coupon). For me it was worth it, bc if anything goes wrong BBB will take it back no issues.

Yeah.. I can barely carry her when I'm alone.. The carseat is heavy and huge. 20 lb carseat + 18 lb baby + diaper bag.. Haha. You get the picture. But I do like how safe it is.. I really do believe it is the safest infant seat.
