It's birthday party time for LO- she's turning 2 (!)
Throwing the idea of doing a brunch birthday party instead of the usually lunch. pros/cons with that idea? We will be inviting a handful of children under 4 so maybe having it earlier would be less stressful for parents and nap schedules?

My DD is almost 3 and she has been to a few of her classmates parties and they were all at 10am - I loved that time!!!

I plan to do one a year! I think it's a good time because then they can go home and nap afterwards!

The sweet spot for us was between 11 and 1, so brunch would be fine, i think.
Now, parties are in the morning, we're talking 10 am, lol!

Brunch parties are my favorite to host (yummy food, easy to make ahead), and that sounds like perfect timing re: naps for that age group.

I think it's a great idea! Brunch foods lend themselves nicely to buffets, which is my favorite way to serve little kids. I think I'd try to time the party so that the meal would double as lunch. If my son ate brunch at 10:30 and the party ended at noon, he'd expect to be fed again before nap time. That might be kind of a bummer (but for one day, we'd deal, you know?).

Because it is a kid birthday and you want a brunch party then you should make a delicious cake and some cookies at home. you can arrange a party at home and you can also make a cartoon theme for party.

I did brunch for DD's 2nd birthday. I think her party was at 11.
Just catered food from flying biscuit and got a cake!
DS' 1st was a brunch even though it was at noon.
Omeletes, waffles, salad, quiche, potatoes, shrimp and grits, etc.
I would have done his party earlier, but he was napping from 9-11ish when he was 12 months old.
