It looks like Hubs gets to go on a business trip in about 3 weeks. He'll be gone for 3-4 days and will get to go to Minnesota for a conference on management in dry cleaning. I love that before he accepted the offer to go though, he made sure to ask if I had any appointments/classes scheduled, otherwise he said he wouldn't go. I'll be around 30 1/2 weeks when he leaves. He went on another trip about 2 months ago and was gone 5 days.
Did your SO travel much during your pregnancy?

My S/O won't be, but I will be. A week's conference for work at 6 weeks (next week), then another trip at 11 weeks. Not sure if more is in store after that!

@MaisyMay: his schedule is crazy up til early december. He's trying to get as much done before baby arrives!
it's nice when he's home though because he's here 24/7 (almost).
it took some getting used to, but we make it work!

My husband has a number of times. His next trip is on Monday for a whole week. I'll be 35.5 weeks and I'm super nervous about it because we don't know anybody here and our families live across the country. Ive had a lot of complications that put me at risk for early labor and so i get freaked out whenever he leaves-I don't want to go into labor alone!

He is gone two weeks/year for military training, i go on travel more frequently, but it's hit and miss.

@MaisyMay: Thanks. I know I started one of them! I will look for the others. I'm leaving monday and feeling OK for the most part, but I'm bringing:
Crackers
Hard candies
Cereal
Sea bands
Less drowsy dramamine
Zofran
and just in case none of that works: plastic bags.

@nodakiddo: Better over-prepared than find yourself longing for something that you don't have. I'd add an empty water bottle (even just a basic plastic one that you already emptied). You can fill it up once you are past security so that you don't have to pay a ton for bottled water.

@MaisyMay: Ah I was just going to buy one inside security. (Have to do a lot of shuffling around from gate to gate, connection to connection, and customs, so anything I can recycle in route seems like a good plan.)
I'm hoping to buy gingerale inside security too but we'll see if available. They usually have it on planes though.

I think he maybe had 1 or 2 overnights in Toronto while I was pregnant. Nothing major.

@nodakiddo: I hate spending $3 for a bottle of water, so I'll usually drain my bottle while in line, get through security, and find a water fountain to refill it. I'm tempted to ask Starbucks to refill it but don't know if they'd say yes.
