I have googled the crap out of this but can't find a solution...
I busted my work iPhone 5c. The screen comes on but will not slide to unlock. I want to back it up and do a restore to wipe it clean before I ship it back to IT.
When I hook it up to my MacBook Pro, it prompts me to unlock it. I tried getting Siri to unlock but she wont do it:(
Any ideas on how I can force it to unlock w/o being able to slide?

Have you taken it to the Apple Store? That happened to me once and they did it.

Have you tried turning it off and back on? Or is it that even when you do that it still won't slide to unlock ? I've had to restart mine a few times when that happens.@PrincessBaby:

@PrincessBaby: Maybe dial your phone from another phone number, and slide to answer? For some reason, that fixed the issue for me when it happened to my phone a while ago!

@PrincessBaby: maybe the 5 doesn't have it, but you can place your thumb on the home button and it unlocks your phone

Have tied holding down the off/on button to force a shutdown? My 5 had some issues with a sticky/stuck swipe, but it resolved itself if I just turned it off, which I didn't need to swipe open to do.

Have you done a hard reset where you hold down the home and lock buttons together for awhile (I think like 8 or 10 seconds)? That has fixed my 4 when it's done this a couple times. It doesn't wipe your data, just shuts the phone down more thoroughly than turning it off the regular way and it takes longer to start back up.
