Anyone else floored by all of the Christmas/holiday posts that have suddenly popped up today or am I the only one not in Christmas spirits? I'm still struggling to get excited about Thanksgiving!

It's always right to Christmas after Halloween every year, it doesn't surprise me!
In Canada we've already done Thanksgiving, so Christmas is the next thing to look forward to! I love Christmas!

Ha! Chloe's preschool class is learning about thanksgiving & bring thankful. We've been working with her at home, and last night I asked her what she was thankful for. So far it's just tinkerbell. She told me she's not thankful for mama or papa.
So.. We gotta work on this..

@pui: My husband does too so he's already talking about Christmas cards, Christmas lights, decorating our new house, etc. I'm just a Grinch I guess - but at least I already have our Christmas address labels and some cute Christmas washi tape for the cards. So maybe not all is lost?

I am so excited about Christmas this year that it is taking serious self control not to decorate like right now! In fact I wish there was more Christmas stuff out because I want to start gathering wrapping paper and decorations and I want to see all of the selection before I commit! But I am not normally like this...

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I have a little banner going across our mantel that says 'So Thankful for Family' with family member's names on leaves - but that's all I've got. I do have a cranberry mold I'm dusting off again this year and some fall themed tableware. But I'm not ready to bust it out just yet.

Sigh... I don't celebrate Christmas (or Halloween for that matter) so this is usually the time of year I tune out of Mommy/Kid blogs because they are so overrun by holiday stuff. I also spend less time at the mall because I'd rather avoid the hoopla.

@glimmersnaps: You and me, we should be buddies I just don't dig it. After Halloween, my holiday spirit doesn't return until St Paddy's day. Bring on the beer!

I restrain myself (it is VERY hard!) to not think about Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. But, seriously, Christmas stuff has been out in stores since before Halloween!

I haven't seen any Christmas stuff pop up yet, but I figure that's because bad weather postponed trick-or-treating to today so everyone still has a slew of costume photos to share tonight.
At my last job I had to start working on Christmas campaigns in June to have them ready to go right about now. Needless to say, Christmas does not start at our house until we've eaten Thanksgiving dinner.

@swurlygurl: I know! It's rotten!
@theonewhere: I had an on-campus job like that back in college. I don't miss that portion of it since Christmas was a BIG deal (it was a religious based university).

I just posted this on Instagram...
That's just enough 'holiday' for me.
I prefer to wait til after Thanksgiving to be excited for Christmas.

Yeah. I was a bit overwhelmed by the Christmas posts already today. Tuning them out for now. I want to enjoy my fall and the next holiday I am thinking about is yummy Turkey Day.

I'm excited to embrace the holiday season, but I am much more into Thanksgiving now than Christmas. Although, we were so rushed with Christmas cards last year that there was a HUGE typo that we missed, so I would like to get those done earlier this year.

I'm excited for the holiday season, but I'm not ready to skip thanksgiving yet! This year is the first thanksgiving I've had off work in three years so I've gotten a little overexcited planning out my menu already

@bluestriped bee: I don't have you on IG! But I love the shade of the red cups Just not a fan of any of the Christmas specials. Love the pumpkin spice though
@mrsjazz: I need pumpkin pie but that's about the extent of my holiday wish list. I do have to host Thanksgiving this year for my parents though (because they don't have room to host themselves) so I do have to get some planning done for that. Hopefully it won't be too bad!
@TemperanceBrennan: I didn't have the typo problem but I do remember Christmas cards taking about two weeks from start to finish. That was awful. I hope I can get an earlier jump on them this year too.

I am still excited for Thanksgiving but I can't wait for Christmas. I don't let myself decorate till after Thanksgiving though. I think having a LO this year is just making me this much more excited about Christmas. I can't help it.
but I was thinking this morning that since it is Nov 1, I need to email my Aunt and see what the plan for Thanksgiving is since she is hosting this year.

Thanksgiving is on my mind! My sister just emailed me about our plans for Thanksgiving, and Christmas seems like it's so far away. Focusing on one awesome holiday at a time, although I do feel pressured to start shopping for presents now. The main reason being how difficult it will be for me to get around to it when baby arrives. That's was online shopping is for, right? Hehe.

@bluestriped bee: RED CUPS ALREADY?! That's when it feels like the holiday season for me I love when they bring out the red cups!

Ugh, I'm just trying to enjoy fall for the next month, not get Christmassed out already! I'll start picking up gifts here and there if I see a deal, but I want to enjoy fall and TG too!

@swurlygurl: I know! I don't usually like all the christmas stuff but I did do a little happy dance when I saw the red cups in line.

@NaturallyCathy: Yeah, I don't like their holiday drinks, but I do love their salted caramel mocha which comes out in October, I think. Today, I got a green tea latte since I didn't need caffeine today.

D won't let me discuss Christmas outside of travel plans until after Thanksgiving, but I love this time of year so much (from Halloween straight through to New Year's) that I really can't wait to start decorating and such.

Loooove Christmas! I think a few of the threads were mine
I'm also super excited about J's age for Christmas this year so I'm planning ahead for a lot of things.

We were at the mall yesterday and they were getting these giant reindeer statues ready! I thought to myself, kids are trick or treating at your stores and you're pushing Christmas? Can't it wait a day?

I went to the mall today and Santa was already there!! And they're playing Christmas music in all the stores! I didn't expect that so early.

I'm into it. I can get excited for Christmas and still look forward to thanksgiving. It's a whole holiday state of mind. I just feel like the older I get, the faster the holiday season goes so I'm happy to stretch it out as much as I can!

I was out shopping today and couldn't wrap my head around the Christmas music playing everywhere! Guess it worked on me though, since I did bring home two Christmas gifts :-O

Some of my parents' neighbors turned on their Christmas lights last night...the night after Halloween. That's too early to me.
