My DH is a huge Joe Rogan fan and his August 2020 tour got moved back a year. I would LOVE to gift DH tickets for next August, but I'm worried about how things will be then still.
Would you buy event tickets for next year?

What's the refund policy? If I could get my money back just in case, I would.

@LadyDi: Just went to look and they will refund in event of cancellation, or tickets will be honored for a new date if a reschedule. I would assume if things were still bad, one of those two would happen vs. me deciding I'm not comfortable going, I hope...

Honestly, I wouldn't do anything that would put money into Joe Rogan's pocket after he gave a platform to Alex Jones, whether your husband is a fan or not.
That being said, no, I wouldn't plan to be in a crowd of people next August, especially if you're at their mercy for refunds.

I wouldn’t. I don’t think I’ll be comfortable in a crowd by next August. But they’d likely give a refund if things are still really bad.

I had tickets to see alanis in June or July. At first they said hold on to the tickets and they would push it out. Then they said they rescheduled for next July. Honestly - I’m annoyed they didn’t offer a refund. There’s no way I’m going to a huge concert next summer, even outdoors. If it was a small outdoor venue that was able to be socially distanced I would consider it but nothing large where you know there’s going to be folks not following rules. Do what you feel comfortable with but with everything so up in the air I won’t be making event plans for next summer.

I decided to hold off for now... we'll see how things are going this summer with the vaccine/etc. and it could be a Father's Day present instead.

I'd wait. It's such a pain to have to deal with canceled events and maneuver their refund policy.
