A little less than two weeks PP and I was finally brave enough to pee without the peri bottle this morning! My bleeding has basically stopped (for now) and my swelling is gone, so I thought I should at least try to pee like a normal person... And no pain, y'all! On my way to normal... whoooo! I just had to tell someone.

@maybebaby: You fill the peri bottle up with water and when you are peeing you squirt the water where your pee is coming out of. It helps clean your area and take away the sting of the pee.

@maybebaby: like @belleoftheballe said, you spray while you pee. If you don't, it feels like you're peeing glass shards. Plus, it's all a big hot mess down there, so you need it to feel at least a little bit clean.

@MrsCastro, @maybebaby: the peri bottle is a huge lifesaver, but my favorite thing postpartum was our removable shower head. It is like a peri bottle you don't have to keep refilling and squeezing! It's so great for pain relief and for actually getting the area clean. If you don't have one I'd highly recommend at least getting a cheap one for the PP period!
