Does this work for you? I took two Tylenol but my head is still going nuts.

Sometimes but not always. I have some regular coke at the start of every migraine but most of the time I still end up needing my Rx medication.
Headaches are the pits. Maybe try a cold compress on your forehead or the back of your neck? Sometimes that helps a little.

@PointeShoesTutus: I just did a soda inventory and I only have Fresca! Boo!

If I catch it quick enough, coke will help stave off a migraine. So will Ibuprofin, but that's not something I can take right now. The cold compress sometimes helps, too. Sleep can also help. Sorry you're suffering- hope it gets better quickly!

I think caffeine is a proven headache fighter. Doesn't one if the headache medicines have caffeine in it as an active ingrideint? ...just googled it, Excedrin does!

Yep! Its what my OB said to take when I got severe headaches during pregnancy. It always worked for me.

I used to try caffeine when I couldn't tame my migraine meds during pregnancy. It never really worked for me.

It doesn't work for me but my colleague swears by it! She NEVER drinks coffee unless she has a headache.

@autumnlove: It's worked for me recently. I used Tylenol & caffeinated soda & a dark room for 20-30 min and it helped a lot!

Caffeine makes my headaches worse because I never drink it.

Yep, it helps me. I drink too many sodas though so it's not as effective as it could be...

Migraines and headaches are very different though, so caffeine will work for most regular headaches, and only some migraines, but can also make a migraine worse. Migraines work differently in the brain, and differently from person to person.

My docs told me to drink coffee for my spinal headache! The drug they give you, fioricet, has caffeine as a main ingredient. Caffeine shrinks the vessels around your brain and reduces pressure. Didn't work for me though.
But most of my headaches currently are caffeine withdrawal headaches, so a cup of coffee does the trick for me

Soda usually helps me but doesn't take the headache away 100%. Coffee doesn't do the same, though. It has to be soda! Weird!

Not for me. Putting a cool, damp rag on my forehead and laying down in a dark room. That's probably hard to do with a baby and toddler though!
