Do you like it when a cake doesnt have much actual cake, and has thick layers of jelly, custard, cream etc? I dont. I want actual cake to be the main thing filling up the slice. we just had a birthday cake in the office and it was mostly cream, custard and jelly with a teeny bit of cake on the bottom.

When I was a kid, I loved icing more than cake and would gladly eat as much icing as possible. Now that I am older, I find I still love the icing, but it's more like an accent to the cake and I appreciate the cake part more! Too much icing is gross!

I like filling, but the cake should be the main event! Don't even get me started when people rave about how much they like a cake when it's "not too sweet." Um, it's CAKE, its supposed to be sweet! I hear a lot of that here. Ugh.

Definitely more cake! There has to be enough frosting too! I hate when people are stingy with the frosting!

Depends on what kind of frosting too, but generally I'm with ya..I said a slice of cake, not a slice of frosting!!

@BB@TheSwissWifeStyle: I totally prefer when the cake isn't super sweet! Mostly the icing though- like I like cream cheering frosting bc it isn't just sugar (add some fat to my sugar please!)
I want a good ratio. If its awesome frosting I don't car if it is too much but most bakery cakes just have so so frosting so 80/20 sounds good.
Mostly I said mmmm cake.

Cake! I hate super sweet frostings and I'm the type that will scrape it off and just eat the cake, so I definitely prefer there to be more cake than filling, etc.

I always want more cake!! I don't really like a lot of filling/custard/frosting. I like my cake with lots of cake and a little bit of frosting. Yummmmm.

I actually don't care for icing that much because it's made WAY too sweet... I like when I make cake because I make it just right lol

I mean I don't like sickly sweet or anything like that. But I've been to places where a cake will have hardly any taste and I seem to be the only one who thinks there's something lacking.

So glad I already satisfied my cake craving this week. I prefer more cake. I need tp have a good ratio and I hate when just frosting is left.

More cake than frosting for sure. I tend to judge cakes and wedding cakes by how much cake and how moist than the fillings.
